The atmosphere, the welcome on arrival, food quality excellent, a changing range of food choices but always with some pub favourites, car parking can be a little tight but there is always parking outside at the side of the road,

We had a lovely meal recently at the Milbank Arms. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. There were 4 of us, all had starters and main course, everything was excellent . As well as the food being 1st class (all home cooking) the beer (black sheep) and wine were very good too and all reasonably priced. Plus importantly all... More

Just back from our first, long overdue, visit to the Milbank Arms and we were very impressed and glad to see it lived up to the fantastic reviews on here. Lovely and festive inside and very welcoming from the staff. It was busy for a Thursday lunchtime in a comparatively 'off the beaten track' location, always a good sign. We... More

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Never been here before but have hear good things. What can I say - other than I couldn't fault it. I had a black pudding starter and a Cajun chicken main. The starter was substantial and delicious - the Cajun chicken was superb. Tasty and moist, a big portion with delicious chips on... More

Nicely decorated, warm ,cosy little village pub serving a range of decent meals and a comprehensive range of beers and drinks. Not much to fault this nice little pub, staff all looked happy to be there and were especially friendly, some of the younger waiting staff were clearly new employees and feeling their feet but nevertheless did a great job too... Ate their last night and unfortuneatly the vegetable curry resembled something that would have been put down to vegetarians, 15 - 20 years. It lacked imagination and taste. A curry these days does not need to be curry powder , it can be far more subtle with a variety of flavours.........disappointing.

We enjoyed the Sunday lunch here. We both chose the lamb shanks which were cooked as we liked them (dropping off the bone). They were served with delicious mashed potato, yorkshire pudding, roast potato and gravy. The vegetables were served on the side and included carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and mange-tout. These were cooked perfectly and there was more than... More

Eat here today 12/10/14 My wife and I both say it was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had out. The roast pork was tasty and the crackling superb, the lamb shank tasty and tender, the veg was cooker just right. Didn't have starters and to full for pud. The service matched the beer, very good . Price... More

Visited here for a celebratory dinner on the basis of it's reputation. We were pleased with the whole experience. The staff were welcoming and solicitous without being intrusive. The menu was tempting and well prepared. They serve a decent pint as well. The Haddock and chips deserve a special mention being 'very good indeed' if not the best in the... More

The Milbank Arms is a lovely place to have dinner. When we arrived we felt immediate welcome. The staff is very, very friendly and helpful. We had dinner twice in the Arms. And both times delicious.
