Before eating here there are two questions you should ask yourself. Do you feel posh and do you feel rich? Well, do you? The maxim here seems to be big prices and small portions. If you've got a dainty little appetite then you should do well here where the food is of good quality albeit a bit... read more

another place we've always wanted to visit, lovely looking building, & great write up on their website. Booked for sunday lunch, liked the look of the bar & formal restaurant, but probably won't re-visit. starters were very tasty & presented nicely, I had the mussels, lovely & sweet, but didn't expect to find 2 whole start anise & a full... Stopped here for lunch after a morning of visiting stately homes. Our group had a variety of lunches, mostly sandwiches and all agreed they were tasty. Liked the waitress who did have a sense of humor about dealing with colonials.. Our wines were excellent so we would definitely return to explore more of them and to sample the dinner fare.... More

Well presented food with locally sourced ingredients and great flavour combinations. Good service. Water jugs and glasses on tables.

Our Sunday lunch was a birthday celebration - and we had a great time. The welcome in the Bar really set the tone for a super meal. Although the Sunday lunch menu is small - 4 starters; 4 main; & 5 dessert, the range of different dishes is very tempting and served with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. The restaurant... More

Had a 2 night stay in February on b&b basis. Room was comfortable and lovely and warm. The bed was firm which I prefer and made for a good nights sleep. The hotel is looking ready for a makeover and bringing to a more modern standard. However all the staff make you feel most welcome. The breakfast was very good... More

I'm a regular at the bar of the Worsley Arms Hotel ever since I moved into the village 14 years ago. It has always been a warm and friendly place to visit whether you are a local, tourist or just passing through. Few places offer up a nice cosy bar - Cricketers Bar - where you can just sit down... Very welcoming greeting by staff. Indeed all the staff throughout our short stay were attentive and helpful and are to be thanked and congratulated. Generous well-equipped quiet room and with a nice large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. (Niggles: The shaver socket didn't work and the bathroom lighting wasn't great)

Attended for a birthday party and meal. The canapes were excellent and the staff very friendly. The whole meal with its many choices was of the highest standard. Intimate setting with a lovely atmosphere.

Having seen online that there was a standard fare pub menu as well as an esoteric 'foodie' menu at the Worsley Arms hotel, I was thinking we had a choice of menus, when my husband and I(!) stayed for the weekend. I was wondering whether our budget and his horror of pretentious restaurants might run to the foodie menu or... More
