Up there with the best restaurants I have ever eaten in

Friends insisted on taking me out and where better than the Ali Baba in the back streets of Gzira where parking is atrocious but a space became vacant right outside the restaurant as we drove in. I knew I was going to have a treat. It was not my first visit and as before, my friends left it to the... More

The head chef / owner came to our table personally to help us plan our dinner because we had never had Lebanese food before and did not know what to order. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant and the evening was very romantic. The house Lebanese wine we ordered was so good we had to have another bottle.... More

I heard a lot about Ali Baba. All positive comments, and by going there I can confirm this. It was a culinary experience. Lebanese food excellently cooked, together with an excellent service by the staff. We did not wait long for the food to be served and this continued throughout our dinner. Very professional. I would definately go again. One... More

Went on the expert recommendation of Ed's Eats, and not disappointed. Parking a problem, and booking essential. Mezzes were delightful and as often, outshone the mains. Skip the Lebanese liquor as an intro, and stick to the wines. The place has been excellent for 28 years, and it looks like it will stay that way.

Parking is a big problem, walking environment to the restaurant is not so pleasant. Restaurant was full and since it is a very small place, it makes it very clastrophobic and can hardly have a private conversation. We left it to the staff as regards to food and decided to share some cold and warm mezees and specifically advised the... More

Food was good, but table near the door was a bit annoying as it was a bit of a thorough fare. Nice staff and good service.

Went there with a couple of close friends. We were not sure what to choose so the owner brought out a mixture of hot and cold mezes along with piping hot pita bread. The service was incredible, would recommend it to anyone who is in for Middle eastern food. The decor is fantastic, the staff really friendly and to top... More

Tried Lebanese food in Malta for the first time. Heard a lot of positive word for this place. Booked table for a Thursday evening. We had several small dishes to share between us, cold and warm mezze. Food was good but a little too oily for my taste. We also tried dessert and the nice mint/ginger/cinnamon tea, which was very... Went there for an early dinner with a friend yesterday. Place is nice and cozy, very clean and nicely decorated. Service was fantastic, very polite and professional. We ordered several different dishes (mezze). We did not order the main course as we wanted to try different things without stuffing ourselves. We also had a dessert and tea. The food was... More
