Yes, it is touristy and rather big but the food is fantastic, both outdoor and indoor areas are cozy, the little playground is great for kids.

This Grotto has a very nice ambiance, it is a real pleasure to eat there. I had a rotisserie chicken which was juicy and very flavorful. The presentation and service are very good too!

Besides the excellent attention to customer needs, the place was nicely decorated and we had the option to dine A-La-Carte or choose the New Year's Eve set menu. Great wine selection with over 350 different wines among them excellent Merlots of course from Ticino. Excellent food, freshly prepared with excellent ingredients. A place to return in summer, since this grotto... More

The Broggini is not a typical 'Grotto' as you may find in Ticino any longer. The place is filled with German tourists, who cannot find the local places, which still have more character then the Broggini. While the chicken from the wood fire is very good, it is too expensive for what you get, as you have to order the... More

We stopped here for a quick bite after a hike but they did not have a typical meat/cheese plate so we ended up with three starters. The food was very nice but the place is very commercial and rather expensive.

We were there 2 and we like this place. Grilled half chicken with risotto ai fughi porcini was very very good and recommendable. They had good selections of wine. We never tried dessert because we never made it! The only thing was the table was a little narrow - not so comfy.

We've been here twice and it has been a very good experience every time. Service and Atmosphere are really at the top. Food is absolutely over the average of the other places nearby in which is frequent to have expensive bills and poor-average quality of food. Best choice could be the daily suggestion (last time we took a very well... More

Recently, we organized a business dinner in this restaurant. Well, the waiters were disorganized, the food quality was so-so, and calculating the final bill was chaotic.Pricey for the area. Even as the restaurant was not full, it appeared to be a busy place. Can't imagine if the terrace is full in Summer. OK if you need to accommodate busloads of... More

I went as part of a large group. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that can accommodate a large group (over 60 people!). So, it is not an intimate restaurant. On the other hand, it is broken into different rooms and each room is cosy enough. As in traditional grottos, the wine is served in little... More
