Good prices and not too crowded

Came here for lunch after a weekend dip at Palm Beach. I ordered their calamari and chips from their kids menu as I'm not really a big eater. The food is served hot amd its not as oily as I thought it would be. I also ordered their chocolate milkshake which was really refreshing, not too sweet... read more

When I ordered food the older woman working was so incredibly rude to me that I refuse to visit here again, despite that the food is reasonably good, but not good enough to deal with such an unpleasant woman.

The fish and chips pack (flathead) is wonderful. Portion size is big so this may allow sharing. Cooking is quick and ordered. Sit inside or outside. It does not have the decor of a restaurant, but the place is clean and friendly. The biggest complaint is the opening hours. Sometimes opened on Wed but not on Mond and Tues. Opening... More

We ordered grilled baramundi, calamari, honey prawns and the chili prawns. Everything was cooked to perfection and came quickly. Best fish and chips we've had in Australia. Will definitely be back!

First visit to Palm Beach Fish and Chips and I must say it won't be the last. Very busy place but it didn't matter (only queued for short while), no sooner had we ordered than our food was ready to collect. Ordered the fisherman's basket, kids calamari and chips and vegetarian burger with salad - our food looked amazing. Grand-daughter... More

I am a commercial fisherman so I know good produce when I taste it. I grew up in Avalon and back in the day all chips were made on site. Now it's wedges or potato chips(mass produced from tapioca?) The batter on the fish(Hoki nz import?) was thin oily and soggy. Again all fish used to be supplied by local... More

While the food came quickly and looked good, the actuality was a huge disappointment given the stellar reviews. Ordered the fish burger, fisherman's basket, kid's calamari and chips, kid's fish and chips. The fish in my burger contained THREE inch-long bones and my young son choked on the stringy calamari rings. The chips were crisp but quickly left an unpleasant... More
