Welcome to the Port of Call. I have been reliably informed that this was the 3rd house to be built in New Quay. Nestled between traditional stone built houses and shops this characterful place always offers a warm welcome. Home prepared/cooked food and fresh locally produced ingredients offer you the taste of West Wales. Take a boat trip to see the dolphins playing in the Bay or just sit and have a glass of something cold while watching the sea from our terrace. Re-opening soon....

Went on first night of holiday and six of us had a lovely meal. 4 of us had steak, 1 had battered prawns and child had scampi. All piping hot and very very tasty and very reasonable compared to others. Will be going back

we ate here and it was genuinely one of the worst times ever! in the lovely seaside town of New Quay, Ceredigion, the neighbouring restaurant was full, so we went to'Port of Call' We really couldn't, and didn't finish it, not because of large portions, as they were really small, but simply because they were uneatable. the food was either... Had a wonderful meal tonight of fillet steak with new potatoes. Perfectly cooked quality steak followed by excellent puddings. Staff very friendly, efficient and made to feel very welcome. Lovely atmosphere - will happily return very soon.

They welcomed us in out of the rain, even though very busy allowing us to just have coffees. Good service.

Very good food at very reasonable prices with good service and very nice feel to the place. A lot of Restaurants in New Quay are bit over priced but this was good value could do with a tidy up here and there but would recommend it to anyone

I have been returning to this restaurant time and time again over 30 year period when I am on holiday in this part of the country. I usually have a Super Steak or Gammon Grill but decided to try the lemon sole and asparagus Fish cakes for a change and the meal was delicious. Super Service as ever in a... More
