The best fish and chips in New Quay - all year round

Cannot praise this restaurant highly enough for the fish and chips. A well balanced menu of alternatives if you are not a fish person. Very good quality and service and great all year round.

We were driving through at lunch time and tried somewhere else that was closed, a local recommended the Mariner Restaurant. It was bright, clean and appeared to have been refurbished. There was a good selection for vegetarians and generally a good range of different meals. The size of the portions was huge but the price was very reasonable. We all... More

New Quay front side chippy. When at the seaside....fish and chips! Went for the takeaway version, came in paper (which was nice), food all cooked and good! Down side was the slightly confusing queueing system in the shop, which I would guess is losing them custom. With a couple of barriers and a rope guide, you could get more in... More

We popped into the Mariners after a walk on the beach just opposite the restaurant. Lovely fresh clean décor, friendly, welcoming lady serving on the counter. Great deal on fish chips, choice of peas or beans, bread and butter and a pot of tea for £5.99 bargain and as the title says beautiful fresh cod. Also children potions available. Would... More

The Mariners has been newly decorated and looks lovely. Food was great, as always. We enjoyed fantastic Cod and chips and also a cooked breakfast on one day. Staff friendly and efficient. A great place to eat.

Recently refurbished so now lighter and brighter interior, more appealing to young and old alike. Menu still excellent value for money.

I tried to avoid this place when it went under new ownership some years back, reason being it just never tasted the same and seemed to be run by kids who were constantly messing around. Today, I popped in to give it another try as the other chip shops were closed. Staff were fine but all I had was a... More

This is a no frills value for money restaurant. Always hot and served to your table. The faggots are brilliant as are the staff. Especially the older lady (sorry I dont know your name) shame on me. Highly recommended for a lunch. Fish and chips are great too.
