£30 for a few portions of chips and hot drinks was quite shocking, the chips were so bland and my partners even came with a hair in it, as soon as he spotted that we put our forks down and didn't eat anymore! The table wasn't very clean and neither was my cup, staff were miserable, wouldn't go back here... More

Fantastic fish & chips, lovely friendly staff and affordable!!! We regularly visit the Mariner when we are in New quay and have done for over 10 years, the food is always good and Simon and the staff always friendly and welcoming. The Mariner is well worth a visit...

Two adults and four children turned up here needing a cooked breakfast and it didn't disappoint. There is a good choice of breakfasts to choose from and when they arrived they were very nice. Prices reasonable in relation to other prices within New Quay

Visited New Quay, had fish and chips to take away, lovely, fresh and hot. Quick service, not too pricey.

Terrible fish and chips, probably the worst I've ever had. Fish was not flakey like it should be. The batter was very doughy and the chips had more eyes in them than the cop at Elland Road. I had bad stomach pains and indigestion for 24 hours after!

We had the large fish and chips. The portion size was very generous and included a large side salad. Therefore, the regular fish and chips would have been quite enough! The fish and chips were very nice and good value for money. We had to order at the counter, but because of how far we had to walk back to... More

Decent portions of food, home cooked served quickly and hot. Would recommend the home made steak pie with proper chunks of meat, not mincemeat like other places, Good ice cream choices too and cheapest in New Quay. Highly recommended as they stay open longer than other eating places if you want a late meal.

Fish and chips as good as they come. Huge portion size and always tastes better by the sea. What more can I say

Basically a cafe with a fish and chip shop bolted on. Does what it says on the tin. Don;t expect too much and you'll be happy enough. A bit expensive on the pocket if there are four or five of you but then, where isn't at a seaside village.
