Best Haddock & chips

After two hours dolphin watching we were hungry for fish & chips and this restaurant did not disappoint. Locally caught haddock tasted so sweet and delicious accompanied by salad & mushy peas. Staff were efficient and welcoming.

Visited the Mariners over the past week for breakfast and lunch and each time the food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone. The cod and chips were my favourite but plenty to choose from with great views.

Can't comment about the actual restaurant as we just popped in for 2 large chips after a day on the beach and some crabbing. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Chips were delicious, nice and crispy on the outside, very nice to sit down at the harbour and enjoy them.

We went to the restaurant after reading the trip advisor reviews & weren't disappointed. The food was tasty, good value & prepared very speedily! The decor is clean & fresh & bathrooms are recently refurbished to a decent spec. We could park nearby & the lady who took our order couldn't have been nicer. She ensured our wheelchair user was... It was delicious.. kids had what can only be described as picture perfect desserts.. it was well worth the visit for the desserts alone. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Mariner, the gentleman who served us was very nice and even took... More

I liked this place last year before it got it's refurb for this year. Very clean, very friendly , good food, and you can watch for the dolphins as you eat. Service was quick and with a smile, unlike another establishment just up the road where we left as they took too long to serve us.

I got the feeling that we were in the way of a staff jolly, There were about ten of them milling around, yet the food sat on the pass for ten minutes, Nice views, that's about it, VERY POOR

My wife and I had our first breakfast in New Quay at this delightful cafe. We both had the bacon, Sausage and egg breakfast bun. It was delicious. The bread bun was really soft and fresh tasting and the fillings were cooked to perfection. A great place to have breakfast if you're in New Quay!
