This is a no frills value for money restaurant. Always hot and served to your table. The faggots are brilliant as are the staff. Especially the older lady (sorry I dont know your name) shame on me. Highly recommended for a lunch. Fish and chips are great too.

This is a pretty average fish and chip shop and restaurant. Everything is reasonably priced and freshly cooked but it is nothing special - nothing imaginative or different that would give it any sort of wow factor.

Had a large cod chips and peas for lunch. Staff were very friendly and portion was a good size although some of the chips were just scraps. Not too pricey

On holiday in New Quay in September 2014 and bought a Pasty from a shop down the road from the Mariners and the rest of the family decided on Fish and Chips at the Mariners. When I saw the Large Cod, I had to try some of that bought by my wife.....wow, gluttony took over and I bought myself a... More

Had a very nice breakfast here one morning, can't fault it! We returned one day for fish and chip lunch. Waitresses did not know where to serve, and which table required what! No table number on actual tables, resulting in them going from table to table asking who had ordered what. At one point, four staff were in a conflab... More

£30 for a few portions of chips and hot drinks was quite shocking, the chips were so bland and my partners even came with a hair in it, as soon as he spotted that we put our forks down and didn't eat anymore! The table wasn't very clean and neither was my cup, staff were miserable, wouldn't go back here... More
