Visited with my wife and two sons at lunch time. We had lovely fresh baguettes and soup. There were 6 varieties of soup to choose from. I had the curried parsnip which was delicious. We also had deserts which were equally good. I particularly enjoyed my raspberry knickerbocker glory ! This is the third time we have visited over the... More

6.05 for cod and chips!!! They're having a laugh. The rest of the menu is expensive and there really is no need. Good chips though.

We booked a table for four for the last night of our holiday. Sadly, the restaurant a few doors down was fully booked. We had eaten there mid-week and had a great evening. The Hungry Trout was nearly empty as we sat down at 8.30 pm on a Friday... After my partner and I and our two children had decided... More

We thought we'd try this place for some lunch. We noticed there was a lot of reserved signs and didn't think we would get a seat/table. As a lady leaving offered her table for us we enjoyed the sunshine and ate outside. There was a wait, but was definitely worth it! I had the deli board from the specials. It... More

Our visit to New Quay was a bit disappointing until we happened upon this gem for breakfast. It was as though they had selected all of our favourites; eggs benedict, pancakes with maple syrup, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and a Welsh breakfast. All were delicious, and with a sunny balcony, the perfect spot to eat it all. Friendly staff... More

We called into this restaurant for lunch on the spur of the moment and what a good choice we made. Friendly service and our bruschettas were the best we have ever had. We chose the smoked chicken and chorizo, they were really delicious and certainly plentiful, we didn't need anything else to eat for the rest of the day. Another... More

Sensational tapas. We hadn't booked but the very helpful staff found us a table on a very busy Wednesday night last Wednesday. Had the best meal of the week in west wales that night and would highly recommend it. Great value and a lovely bottle of merlot made our last night in New Quay a night to remember - thanks... More

We have been fortunate enough to eat here on a couple of Sunday's over the past year, never disappointed, everything you could want for a good, tasty, homely with all the trimmings Sunday lunch, even separate gravy for each joint of meat. Good size portions, delicious & a seasoned variety of vegetables. It is so refreshing to go out for... More
