Good food and friendly staff

Popped in here a couple of times during a long weekend. Once for tea / coffee / hot chocolates and cakes and the other for lunch. Young, friendly waiting staff are really helpful. Good selection on lunch menu and great to see a kids' menu with different dishes from the usual fare. Specials board... read more

We were so well looked after here, we unfortunately were running an hour late for our booking, the waiter was so accommodating about this, we had an excellent celebratory meal with my son and his partner after his Graduation. Delicious variety of locally caught fish, beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent friendly service, will definitely will return soon!

This was my second visit and it has maintained the high standards of quality of food and service. Not only was every dish in our party of four highly praised, but the knowledge and choices available for gluten free options was greatly appreciated. The specialities are fish/seafood and a wide selection of home made desserts. The attentive service of the... More

Stopped off here for an early evening dinner, having spent the afternoon in New Quay. Kids menu was half price between 6-7pm when bought with an adult meal. My husband and I had the same meal, to start the Smoked haddock melt, which was delicious. Then we had the Welsh beef casserole which was also yummy. All freshly prepared vegetables... More

For a holiday town in Wales this restaurant is well worth a visit. Food extremely well presented and service attentive. This chef would certainly hold his own in London.

managed to get a table for two, but arrived early. Probably best to book. Food was lovely, and enjoyed the salmon fillet, even saw Dolphins through the window whilst eating. Will definitely return.

Early booking recommended, very busy in the summer months. I was impressed and pleased by the whole experience, we even saw Dolphins swimming pass the harbour whilst eating dinner (around 8 pm) outside. Friends from Australia could not get over the food/location and views. Clean with a good atmosphere.

After watching the dolphins in the bay my wife, grand daughter and decided to try the Hungry Trout for lunch. The restaurant has excellent outside tables at the front overlooking the quayside. Inside it has pleasant decor and the service is warm, friendly and efficient. My wife are beetroot and cottage cheese salad. My wife enjoyed greatly. My grand daughter... More

Don't waste your time or money here!!! The service was hideous!!! We had to chase a waitress back to take our order- & that was about the extent of the service. Not once did they ask if we wanted water. It took 45mins to get anything in front of us. We had to again chase down someone to take our... More

Came across this little gem on a weekend away in West Wales. We wanted something light but nice for lunch and this seemed perfect, with little cushioned tables outside to gaze over the harbour from. We both had a perl wen cheese, tomato and basil baguette with drinks (beware, the drinks are quite steep) and thoroughly enjoyed them. In the... More
