don't judge this place by a review or two

Very popular café, the food is excellent and every thing is fresh and mostly home made. It does get busy as it is so good but usually only a short wait for a table. They do run out of the most popular items - scones and cakes - but usually have another batch in the oven which entails a short... More

The location is great but we had an experience today that means we will never go back, and that's not a problem really as a little further along in Tynemouth, are far better places to go for coffee and a snack. My husband ordered me a mocha, can't go wrong with that you would think but when it arrived it... More

Usually a regular visitor here however after the last time I visited I will not be returning. Arrived here and waited around 20 minutes for a table, after being seated we went up to order our food to discover hardly anything was left in this case I ended up ordering a coffee which took half an hour to make. Surely... More

For a place with so many covers it seems odd they can't handle fairly simple orders quickly. Perhaps more staff are needed. Menu a bit limited and some items quite expensive. The food itself was good but the coffee was a bit weak. Great location.

Food in this cafe is good, cheese or fruit scones cost £1.75 but are a bit small, afternoon tea served all day costs £10.95. Also do soup, sandwiches, pancakes and waffles. Seating inside and out although the outside seating is next to a busy road. Ice cream parlour attached to cafe offers about half a dozen flavours of Beckleberries ice... More

This does a wide range of food and snacks and the prices are very reasonable. I had a cake, a scone and a pot of tea for £5.60. The cheese scone had a nice tang to it bit not sure if it was Red Leicester cheese or not. It was busy but service was very quick. There are 4 or... More

Today I came along to Beaches and Cream for afternoon tea only to be told that the Kitchen was closed due to a rush on orders. The cafe was not particularly busy and after a conversation with a waiter who assured us that the kitchen would be re-opened in 15 minutes I was refused the opportunity to order our coffee... More

This is a delightful little seaside cafe in a gorgeous location, and on a sunny summers day it is fantastic to sit outside and enjoy a sandwich, a cake or an ice cream. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable, and will always stop for a chat if they arent too busy (which they usually are, this is a very... More
