Prior to visiting Beaches and Cream I had heard good reviews about it and looked forward to seeing what it was like. When myself and my friend went although the weather was cold and windy, the welcome inside Beaches and Cream was warm and welcoming. It is smaller inside than I thought it would be and very busy. We had... More

Lovely little café on the seafront, was busy when we visited. Sat down at a table that was full of plates, cups , etc. Ordered a drink and waited patiently, All the staff were oblivious to the untidy table .Even when it quietened down , one member of staff stood talking to one of the locals and went to clear... This used to be Maynards many years ago. Now it's a stylish coffee house serving coffees, lunches, snacks and ice creams.

Cullercoats has improved hugely over the last few years. Gone are the tacky amusements and 'Kiss me quick hats' it is now a pleasant village set above the bay overlooking a sandy beach. The coffee shop takes advantage of the great view with tables outside. Inside there is a mixture of seating: sofas suitable for just a coffee and a... More

I liked this cafe. It was very homely but very busy, people were queuing out the dooR. It was reasonably priced.

We were very lucky to have such a warm October day and sat outside but the inside looks quite homely and comfortable. I had to order everything at once, not get a cuppa while perusing the menu and go back and add on a bit of food later. The menu was very limited, only 2 fillings for baked potatoes, uninspired panini's,... More

Beaches and Cream is situated on a corner site by the main sea-side road in Cullercoats. It overlooks the small sandy Cullercoats Bay which lies at the bottom of a steep footpath/slope. It is very popular and always busy. Outside it has several pavement tables which attract the sun in the morning. Inside there is, the currently fashionable, mix of... More

I was here just the other day as me and my partner were walking along the coast. We both got hungry very quickly on our walk and he thought this would be just the kinda place i'd love. He was right! I had a mozzarella and pesto chicken panini which was lovely (was about a fiver) and did have proper... More

We visit Whitley Bay often and like to visit whenever we can. It is often difficult to get a table and you can understand why. Lovely food, terrific service and great atmosphere. Maybe a little pricey but hey you pay for quality?! We've been for breakfast, snacks and afternoon teas and loved it every time we visit 😃 See you... More
