Recently I relocated to the west of Ireland. One of my primary tasks was to find that comfortable place to hang out. Another task was to meet folks in my new hometown. Both of these goals were made quite reachable through my discovery of the Meet You Here coffee shop. Newcomer anxiety fades as soon as one meets Phyllis, the... More

Travelling to the west and needing a break for coffee we decided in advance to stop at Ballaghaderreen. Thanks to tripadvisor we found this place which is the only coffee shop in town. Great coffee, great tea and wonderful scones with jam. The place is charming and well worth a visit. Even when the new bypass opens it will still... More

I stopped in Ballaghadreen for coffee - lucky for me I asked a local if she could suggest somewhere nice. She directed me to Meet you Here ( I would never have found it otherwise). What a little gem of a place -its eclectic and welcoming and comfy. I had the French toast with apple salad and coffee - all... More

Very homely feel to this quirky cafe. Tonnes of home made art and craft to look at and buy. Some really good paintings and drawings with nice frames for sale. Fantastic customer service. Very friendly and helpful staff. You truly get service with a smile. I felt welcome and at ease straight away. A great place to relax and unwind.... More

Go there with a book or some of your friends, for a tea or a chocolate. Pick a tart of a cake, you can't go wrong. A perfect place for a rainy afternoon!

Have been to this cute cafe in ballaghaderreen a few times in the last few months. The place is really quirky with loads of things to look at, but the best things of all are the sweet things! Some of my coffee companions have chosen savoury and everyone has been more than happy. But the sweet stuff is fab...pancakes just... More

Just a delight, Simple yet frilly and flowery, but attention is given to every detail. I will ensure not to pass this gem when I pass through the town on my way back and forth from Castlebar to Dublin.

Make sure to seek out this lovely cosy coffee shop, where you can sit and enjoy beautiful art work while spending quality time with family or friends. Owners are friendly and welcoming ,coffee is good and the cakes are simply scrumptious. It is the place I always choose if meeting friends in the Roscommon/Mayo area. Perhaps the only drawback is... Having recently been restricted to a gluten free diet I was delighted with the wonderful, light and flour free home made chocolate cake. It was enhanced by freshly whipped cream, wonderful service and the opportunity to view art by local artists.

I love this place. I knew the house in its previous existence and was interested to see how it had changed. The owners are lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The food is good, the coffee great, the ambience perfect. Call in, you won't be disappointed
