A table for 10 people that was booked some time ago resulted in 10 people arriving but with only room for 9 of us at the table. We asked for another chair but was told all seats were reserved, and there were no other seats available. We ended up being squeezed onto a bench seat until later on in the... More

A large group of friends visited this restaurant last night for a tribute night. Evening started really well. Starters came out quickly and was very nice but had to wait ages for our main courses as it appeared they had been forgotten and we had to reorder! Main courses were nice but cold! We were all ordering our drinks at... More

This is typical of the 'modern take' on Indian restaurants, with very few of the classic trappings and decor - me? I like the stereotype Indian feel of some restaurants - so this feels more like a canteen. However, the food is good and the service friendly

I cannot think of anything nice to say about this place. If was freezing cold inside, I kept my coat on all evening. We got our drinks and popadoms fairly quickly. But then waited about 45 minutes for our meal's when they arrived they were only lukewarm, and everything had the same base taste, some no one really knew what... More

When we first moved to Wickford we used to order Indian food from the local take-away. A friend recommended The Blue Chutney and we decided to give it a go. The difference was startling. The food is gorgeous with loads of flavour and the Chicken Chat Puri is the best I have had anywhere. The mid-week meal deal for two... More

Whenever we have a birthday or special occasion we always choose to eat at the blue chutney. We can always get a table, the restaurant never seemed to be too busy or over crowded. The food is delicious, reasonable priced and we always get excellent service. The Blue Chutney also has themed nights featuring singers and entertainers occasionally throughout the... More

We ordered a takeaway at the weekend. Not such a good start as the waiter on the phone seemed to want to get me of the phone as quick as possible, maybe because it was a Saturday but still manners cost nothing and don't take up too much time. Once there greeted well but the waitress had to ask her... More

We've been here many times over the last year or so and cannot remember any time when the food wasn't of very high quality. Staff are attentive and friendly and the Blue Chutney is my first choice for Indian Cuisine in the area.

TerryOB, Hello Terry, thank you for regular custom and kind words here on TA. Nice to hear we are consistant - every restaurant owner will tell how hard that is to maintain - but we are proud of the team and the hard effort they make to ensure every diner enjoys their time spent here at Blue Chutney More
