One of the best meals of the trip

Small restaurant above a grocers shop, we had another great meal here. Started with grilled vegetables then ordered gnocchi with mushrooms and pasta with lamb ragu, both dishes great country fare. Waiter was friendly, house wine was good and the bill reasonable.

We found this place on a Sunday afternoon when we had nearly given up finding somewhere open. They served us even though it was near 3 o'clock. We had cheeses and risotto for starter and managed to eat half of each. The risotto was rather too salty for our liking. The meat (lamb in pistachio crust and steak with mushrooms... More

Great antipasto with delicious cheese, salami e lamb-inner parts diferent ways. Risotto needed a bit more attention and the lamb with crost of pistachio was very nice. Finalised with cafe and grappa made this a delicious meal. Service very good.

We had an excellent meal here during our short stay in Petralia Sottana in December. They offered some very nice and inexpensive locally grown wine and anti pasti with ingredients from the local area. The vegetarian lasganetta was also delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and the ambiance made for a relaxing meal.

Good food (gnocchi al ragu is excellent, other pasta dishes ok, antipasti and meat dishes (secondo) are good) are better than others), fair price, fairly good wine.

Welcoming and competent trattoria for lunch and dinner, with a good range of local dishes and excellent house red at very reasonable prices.

Petrae Lejum is a real hidden gem. The interior is a little kitschy, but look past that, and you will find one of the best restaurants in Sicily. We could not resist dining there two evenings in a row, feasting on pasta con sarde, tagliatelle ai funghi, and ravioli funghi e speck. The flavours were incredible and everything was presented...
