Good but not great.

Went there 3 times. Once with my husband and family, once with friends and once with just my hubby. Spring - Went there with my husband - sat inside - service, food and atmosphere was good. I had salmon and he had the special. Nothing was amazing, but it was fine. Summertime - outside... read more

Three of us (30 somethings) went to dinner here and the food was very good, but not great. We had to wait for so long, we didn't have time to get dessert and waited another 30 minutes for the check. We expected more - splurge and go to Clos des Sens instead.

Went there for lunch with my family. They have the trational French "formula" system where you can choose amongst entry, main dish and dessert. You can get any combination (e.g. entry + main dish or main dish + dessert only). The options for main dish were 2 porc, 2 fishes and 1 vegetarian. No chicken or meat or veal... It... More

This place definitely deserves the Bib Gourmand as it consistently serves excellent meals at a very reasonable price. The menu is short but varied, with the starters being perhaps a little unexciting. The merlu main was rather small but excellent all the same. The cote de porc (for 2) cooked at low temperature was awesome and huge, totally delicious. Desserts... More

I recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for well-prepared traditional French cuisine. The quality of the food is really outstanding, a result of the combination of high-quality ingredients with truly French cooking techniques. There is no “nouvelle cuisine” here, just pure consistent traditional food. It´s the kind of place Julia Child would have adored! The place is... More

Went there with my partner in Autumn 2013. The food is splendid, seasonal and served with care and kindness. We dined al fresco on the lovely terrace at reasonable prices. I can't wait to go back! The choice is limited to a number of seasonal and fresh products, but everything we had was splendid food, very well prepared.

The decoration is nice and the service is good. Good wine list as well. We were not impressed with the dishes but not disappointed either. I wouldn't go back but I wound't not recommend it.

Nice place and very typical like an old fashion café. The dishes are original with unusual presentation. The outside area can be enjoyed in summer looking at the kitchen and the pastry preparation. A good place to be and enjoy dinner.

Cafe brunet is a monument to consistency, it's a while since I last visited and was looking forward to the same level of service and good food standard I sampled on my last visit. I was not disappointed. The restaurant was bustling and the server was attentive and polite speaking English and French. €30 for 3 courses of well presented... More

a visit to Le Cafe Brunet will delight your senses and bring a sense of normality to the formality of French cuisine. The host and staff at Le Cafe Brunet were delightful and offered guidance and suggestions throughout; in France it is normal for you to order ALL of your courses from the beginning of your meal whether you have...
