Great Seafood

If you want to avoid the self-service scrum of certain more highly ranked competitors, or cant be bothered to wait for space, this is a really good nearby alternative. Well what can one say. We visited for lunch. The two starters were mediocre but we thought that we couldn't go wrong with the main course of arroz. We were wrong. The rice cracked under the force of our teeth and the flavour was that of salt - nothing else. If salt is a preservative I shall not age any... More

The staff igored us absolutely. We had been seating for ten minutes at an empty table until a waiter noticed us and told us that the table was reserved. Nobody welcomed us when we had come and nobody showed us another table, just an uncertain gesture 'somewhere there'.

This was the first Bajo de Guia restaurant we dined at six years ago, when it rivalled Casa Bigote for top billing on the strip. That meal was excellent, but then it fell from grace, lost custom and closed for a year until it was taken over a couple of years ago by new owners. It's now back on form:... More

I just spent a month in Sanlúcar and loved every minute of my stay. Well, almost. At the Mirador Doñana, we felt we were taken advantage of because we were tourists. Even though my cousin and myself are totally fluent in Spanish, we were taken in by the waiter of the Mirador. At lunch, we both ordered the Gazpacho Andaluz... More

We have eaten here twice recently and have particularly enjoyed tapas in the ground floor area and the outside terrace. It is waiter service and a mixture of other dishes (rations and half rations) are also available. We enjoyed the textures of tuna which is tuna coated in seaweed and sesame seeds and only lightly cooked. The raw fish tartars... More

Outside:— it looks like just another beach-front tapas restaurant, al fresco dining under umbrellas. Inside:— the upstairs restaurant has excellent views, crisp napery and even crisper service! The Mirador has been renovated. The older reviews for this popular fish and seafood restaurant may well have been accurate for their time, but since the renovation everything seems to be on the... We came here as second choice after finding the Casa Bigote booked out on a busy August night and and were not disappointed. We were able to sit outside in the balmy evening and enjoyed some excellent dishes - the Puntillitas con habitas (tiny cuttlefish with baby beans) was out of this world as was the calamar rellenos. Two of... More

Recommended by relatives. Fantastic service and hospitality. Seafood, gambas and cigalas, simply great, fresh and tasty. Fried fish at the right touch, and some "modern" dishes like puntillitas con habitas, have given the perfect dinner. To finish some typical sweets, tocino de cielo and flan. Will return soon!

We sat at a table outside and were constantly surrounded by fine clouds of water sprayed from above, which the waiter said was to stop the flies. We didn't want our food sprayed with water (and recent scientific research says these sprays can cause Legionnaire's Disease). The staff kindly turned it off. We were brought a plate of fish we...
