Something Different in Sanlucar

While Sanlucar is a great place for seafood, most restaurants tend to be very similar and the food gets a bit tiring after a while. This small gastrobar was therefore a welcome change and we worked our way through the menu on three different nights. The food was very good and inventive, service... read more

We had noticed this place a few days earlier & thought it would make a nice change from all the tapas we had been enjoying in Sanlucar... the food & ambience went way beyond our initial expectations! The portion sizes are not massive - but we actually really appreciated this as it enabled us to have a nicely balanced 3-course... More

We have eaten at most places in Sanlucar, but this was our first visit to Espejo. No dish is more than €9, and the choice isn't massive, but each course we had was beautifully flavoured, and unusually we made it to dessert, as each portion is manageable, tasty, and leaves you wanting more. Service was also great, we chose the... More

After a week of typical Spanish food, as much as I love tapas it was nice to eat something different, and even better to have really really good food in this little town. Everything we had was amazing, tasty and inventive, except for the chocolate bomba, which was a let down for a chocolate lover but the cheese cake redeemed... More

We ate here last year when staying at the very comfortable hotel/ Palacio attatched. It was pleasent then but nothing memorable. We dropped by this year for a drink and ended up spending a most enjoyable evening there. The tapa of albondingas de choco was so good we decided to stay and eat. Every dish was immaginative and well prepared... More

Sanlúcar is a great place to eat but you can tire of king prawns and fried fish (really!). This restaurant offers a great alternative. The young chef prepares a slightly more elaborate cuisine. We dined twice and found every dish imaginative and well prepared. The service is charming and competent. A very good restaurant.

After wandering around Sanlucar de Barrameda looking for a restaurant, we realised it's full of tapas bars. Don't get me wrong, we love tapas, but after a few days of it, we just really fancied a restaurant menu. So we headed back to the 'gastro' restaurant at our hotel, Posada de Palacio. The restaurant is out in the courtyard garden,... More

A relief to find a modern gastrobar serving high class absolutely delicious and interesting modern tapas , a bit of a relief from all the fried food served in most establishments in Sanlucar. Also set inside an authentic old Posada.
