In many ways quite an old skool tapas place with fridges full of what you are about to eat if you venture inside as we did and frankly that's the recommended option. The service is swift, friendly, accommodating, patient with our poor Spanish (though some...language definitely helps) and served up fabulous food at regular intervals.More

Popular and busy, this tapas bar is well worth a visit. Reading the reviews, we had to try the tortilitas de camerones which were amazing - I was hooked. We tried them on several occasions during our holiday, but none were as good as these....The prices are very reasonable as well, considering its location in a popular area.More

Great value for money, tasty food, good wine and great service even though we did not speak the same language they took the time to understand us. We will be back. We ate here 3 times in the 3 days we spent in Sanlucar. The...food was great we loved the seafood and pork dishes with a special mention to the crispy shrimp tortillas which were super crispy crunchy and well seasoned. Prices were very reasonable and made our experiences good value for money. Drinks were also at a good price and white wines were well chilled.More

This is a hot spot in Plaza del Cabildo and there are regular large queues waiting for tables. Our meal was disappointing when compared to how popular the place is, but I suspect some of the plates that arrived were not what we ordered. Fried...cuttlefish was definitely more of a dogfish type fish. I found the baby chorizo less good than I expected as it was chewy - surprisingly for a standard Spanish dish. The potato and tuna loaf was good, and their tortillas de camarones also tasty. Very friendly staff here I should add and the service was super quick. The most surprising thing is that La Gitana, a restaurant bar a few yards away, is generally rated lower and less busy, but is actually far better.More

Superb Shrimp Fritters, and a varied choice of meat and fish. We had just a couple of dishes including the excellent shrimp fritters, and a half bottle of Manzanilla Sherry. Lucky for us we had a small bottle of Portuguese semi-hot piri piri sauve which...gave the fritters a little lift! Not the cheapest place but the food was very good. The down side is that it gets very busy and I am not too fond of waiting in a long que for a table!More

This was maybe one of the best restaurants in Andalusia! This Monday we were surprised to see old fishes in the windows, it looked all really old and bad!! We ordered some ensaladilla. Tortelitas de camerones, stuffed eggplant and some meat in sauce. A glass...of wine and a tinto verano- for the first time in the 20!! Years that I come here they tried to cheat me by adding 2 beers and said the tinto verano was a double one(? Same as we always take here- now double price) normally it is very crowded here, now it was not busy at all - for us we will never go here again- there are so many good places with really fresh fish! We both had stomach problems and diarrhoea after a few hours . End of a good time. Very sorryMore

This is always full of locals so we thought we’d try it. Very prompt friendly service. My fish was delicious and very fresh. Husband’s chicken and chips were also praised. The prices in this town are amazingly low.

We were recommended this restaurant by a few Spanish friends so thought we would try it . The service getting the order and drinks was slow , but once we ordered the drinks came fast then the 1st dish , the crocketts were cold as...were the chips with them , they must have been sat waiting ages ready cooked. We decided to leave has this is not acceptable for a restaurant with such a good reputation. Hopefully it was a bad day has many reviews highly rate it .More

Sanlucar de B is a small central are for touring visitors (one main square), which is full of eateries. It is a very pretty/photogenic place. This eatery has a queue at 14.00 and this is a good sign. The locals like the place and the...wait for a table is short (as promised) - 10 mins top. Be careful not to sit at a neighboring eatery because it is quieter and then find you have been pressed to order drinks before you get to see the menu, which is not a patch on the choice at this one. Will be back again, when next in locality :-)More

We had a late lunch here today. The tortilitas of camarones were heavenly, so were the adobos (my first taste) lobster cocktail and clams in Sherry sauce. It was all very tasty and fresh!!!!

All prawns were very tasty. Tortillas de gambas were disappointing as very oily- I've had better. Octopus was soft but needed dressing ... I've had better too. Overall very quick service & reasonably priced.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. It really is a superb tapas restaurant. They only do tapas (no raciones, no platos!) but having said that the tapas are a decent size (enough for 2) the menu is massive. It is mostly seafood...but that is typical of everywhere in Sanlucar. The quality of the food is impressive along with excellent service. It was busy all the time and I can imagine it would be really difficult to get a table in summer. I would definitely recommend the gambas, the croquettas, and the local speciality tortilla de camerones (shrimp fritters). This is a must visit place to eat in Sanlucar. Oh, by the way the prices are very good too!More

While food was good they cheated on the price diving me a round number and no ticket. Rough calculation 15-20% overpriced when I did calculation after the fact. There no good food (it was ok to be honest) that can compensate for that. Basic Ethics...are that basic. Won’t ever repeat and suggest you not to. Plenty of good food and honest people around.More

Great variety of tapas at good price, staff very efficient and quick to serve. There was a waiting liner the restaurant, but we waited very little to get a table. Rollitos de berenjena and shrimp pancakes recommend.
