A Little Oasis

We stopped by this charming place en route to our ferry in Caen. What a lovely little oasis, the perfect place for a seafood lunch whilst staring out to sea. We were delighted to be have found this place which is on the beach front. The service was excellent and friendly, our french is limited and they were one of the few places in France that we visited that didn't mind this and seemed to be happy with us just trying to get it right. Our daughter had fish and... More

La Digue is practically on the beach so the views are fantastic especially at sunset. The food is more expensive than most of the restaurants in Villers but it is excellent and the dining room is beautifully appointed. It's open all day and always seems busy, which is another good sign. I visit this area of Normandy regularly and a... More

We only stopped for a coffee, the place is right on the seafront, and we weren't hassled to move on - it filled up quite quickly for lunch & the menu seemed reasonable enough, the coffee was a decent price too for France. Very friendly service too.

We decided to treat ourselves on the last night of our holiday and came to this restaurant, primarily because of its location over looking the beach. We were a bit concerned that our young children may not be welcome, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. The children's menu was good value and although our food was expensive... If you are staying at the Ibis or vicinity at Villers-sur-Mer, then this restaurant fits the bill nicely as it is just a short walk away up the beach road, and saves a much longer trek to Villers town centre. As we were just stopping the night whilst breaking up our road journey to Brittany, and the Ibis only serves... More

Just got back from this charming French town and we ate at this restaurant once during our stay. We looked at the menu a couple of times, but the expensive pricing put us off. Finally, we decided to give it a go. The service was first class, we decided to eat off the set menu which is limited to a... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel and we did not regret coming here although it was a bit on the pricey side. We were there at 19.00 and by 20.00 it was more or less full which speaks for itself. The food was excellent and service attentive. We did however choose to have wine by the glass as the... More

This resto appears to be away from the village/town and on the beach. Inside, I remember large windows for a great view of the beach and many families dining for lunch. The service was friendly and timely, the food was nice but expensive (smallish portions). The WCs were clean and modern. I would consider it to be a splurge to... More

Sitting outside La Dique with an uninterrupted view of the beach watching the most magnificent Normandy sunsets is a moment never to be forgotten. The food is usually very good (we eat there regularly) but a bit pricey. The wine list very poor, so choose with care. The service attentive. Plenty of parking.
