I am local - very local - and remember the pub as a teenager in the 60's - pre-dating even the innovation of chicken-in-the-basket. Like many places, it has gone to 'eatery', beyond everyday budget .. BUT .. the 'boys' have had a fantastic reputation for all 9 years of their running the Horse and Groom. This now seems to... More

A great range of well kept beer in a character pub and a refreshingly different chalk board menu. Wish I lived closer!

We made a special point of returning to the Horse and Groom during our short break in the Cotswolds and were definately not dissapointed - a traditional Cotswold Inn, set on a hill, in a lovely little village - superb food - warm welcome as we entered and a good range of local ales....what more could we ask for? We... More

An excellent country pub with great views from the garden, great food and very helpful staff. Only one improvement I can see is for more comfortable seating in the garden when eating, otherwise this is a perfect country pub.

This pub was charming and spacious with excellent food and very nice service. We found these Cotswold pub menus were deceptive in their brevity, but the entrees delivered gourmet versions of the listings and The Horse and Groom was no exception. The Horse and Groom is up a scenic hill with gorgeous views even from the doorway before we went... More

Dinner was lovely, locally sourced food which was delicious, staff take great pride in working there, and are friendly. The view from the beer garden of the rolling countryside is beautiful, highly recommend this pub

We were a family and friends wedding party coming together for family lunch in this northerly part of the Cotswolds and arrived late as the drive time had been underestimated. The bar staff who greeted us were not phased, our tables were waiting and did we want to order drinks - this we did. I had a reasonably priced and... More

We have been here before and the food has always been good. On this occasion, we were passing and just called in by chance. They were fully booked on a Monday evening! We were able to eat in the bar. The food was very good- portion size just right. Staff friendly and efficient. I got the impression that there were... More

We booked here for our Sunday lunch before heading home from our stay in the Cotswolds and were looking for a decent pub roast. We were not disappointed. The host was very hospitable and helpfully reserved us each a roast dexter beef rump serving when we arrived early, as the dish was going quickly. Fantastic beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast spuds... Quite ordinary food, including a paté starter which we felt could have come from the supermarket, but the delicious Sauvignon Blanc (£25) made up for it. Nice country pub atmosphere, but a rather long wait for service even tho' they did not appear to be busy on the Thursday evening we visited. We probably won't return.
