We had lunch here with friends who we meet up with regularly, and we were all delighted with the food at The Horse and Groom. Our main courses were all tasty and well presented, and the puddings were truly exceptional - original ideas, like blackberry and ginger sponge, expertly executed. Thoroughly recommended - and make sure you book in advance,... More

Delicious food, lovely building, very friendly staff!! Loved it! Car parking is an issue but they're in the process of addressing it! Would definitely return!

We are going regularly for our H&G fix. It's never disappointed. The food is just amazing and the atmosphere is just so cosy.

We were so looking forward to a meal here after reading all the reviews, however it didn't quite live up to expectations. Firstly, there was a real lack of veggie options, none on the mains and when I inquired about this I was told I could have the only veggie starter as main which was a giant samosa, not really... I had lunch with my wife and two friends there on a Saturday, the place was packed, a very slight problem as they do not really have enough car parking. You order at he bar and then go to your table, the menu was highly tempting and the results were excellent, especially the large paupiette of plaice stuffed with salmon... More

We ate here on the last night of our holiday, after trying to book earlier in the day and being told they were fully booked I tried again later and got in on a cancellation. On arrival in the bar first impressions are of a warm friendly popular establishment with the faint reassuring smell of fresh food being cooked. The... More

We visited twice in the evening. The first time on bank holiday Saturday and it was packed and then again on the bank holiday Monday when it was much quieter. Both times the food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommended.

Been to a few pub/inns where the quaint facade concealed disappointing food? The Michelin judges awarded the H&G a gourmand ribbon, and it is well deserved. We arrived just before they closed for lunch, yet they courteously served us . (Although the beady-eyed blonde barmaid reminded us rather brusquely to get our order in quickly.) Fair enough, and the food,... More

Came here to celebrate a birthday in a party of 10. The food tasted great, the atmosphere was classic pub, and won't put too much of a dent in the wallet.

On a driving tour of the Cotswolds, myself and my partner happened to drive past the horse and groom at lunchtime and, thinking it looked nice from the outside, we ventured in. Greeted by a very helpful bar man (glasses and shorts) we managed to grab the only free table. Everything was explained to us by the bar man -... More
