'we don't allow laptops after a certain time at night' Me: oh ok and how come ? 'Its not the vibe we want' ...... Isn't 'the vibe' there for the patrons? If there are enough lap tops to be noticeable doesn't that mean that's 'the vibe' the patrons want on this rainy Thursday night? Wanting to be something other than... More

Some of the best staff and service in this City !!! Their snacks and bar was just perfect for a "Sunday Arvo". The staff look as if they love working there - and that vibe rubs off on the customers.

Thanks for the perfect chai with honey and milk, and for the cosy green couch where I could sit and reflect while basking my legs in the afternoon sun! No table service though so I had to get up quite a lot to ask for my teaspoon, and order more drinks.

Make sure you stop in for either a snack, beverage or meal, check out the light fittings, completely illuminating.

I had a fantastic Sunday Session here last week when visiting a friend in Melbourne. Loved this place. Drink prices reasonable with nice simple wine list. DJ was amazing, a fantastic mix for a Sunday chill. I would highly recommend if you like something a little different. Get there early on a sunny day it gets busy.

I popped in her on a recent visit to Melbourne for a quick drink before meeting friends. I thought it was a pretty interesting place, regularly changing art on the walls, small, friendly staff and a small but pleasant outside seating area. Beer was good too, and in a pint glass, a rarity for Australia I believe.

I visited the Black Cat today upon my return to Melbourne and was immediately reminded why I dislike this pretentious little fashion reject trap. Here's an actual conversation with the server. Me (after ordering a cappuccino) : "Do you guys have wifi?" Server : "Is it for a laptop?" Me : "Yes." Server : "We don't usually give out the... More
