Sensational personal entertaining

We have a fabulous degustation dinner with matching wines. One of the best we have had. The waiter was amazing and very knowkedgable about his food and wine. Service was brilliant! This restaurant is very good if you are prepared to do it the Chef's way and go with the flow. Some will want more choice but my son and I enjoyed doing it their way Good food somewhat overpriced but typical of more pretentious places in Melbourne Good wine list particularly A bit noisy!!

Dined here from the a la carte menu and whilst the food was ok it certainly was nothing special , I think there are much better options near by such as the Town Hall Hotel . I will not bother trying again.

The officious waitress insisted that our party of five, share a selection as chosen, by I'm not sure who. When she enquired if there was anything we didn't like and I answered 'sharing', the look of scorn remained throughout the night as she delivered little plates, designed for one, to then be dissected by us! This rendered the dishes as... More

My husband surprised me with this place on Valentines day celebrating our 6 years of marriage. The food is just delicious and can't complain about the service at all.We had a 5 course meal which we let the restaurant choose the meal for us and it was the best way to go.We didn't not walk out overly full but just right... The menu was really weird food and the price was too high! I didn't like most of what we ordered to share. Service was good and they were nice to the kids. I wouldn't go back though.

We asked for the chef to decide for us, an option that is $65 a head. That was after asking for a glass of bubbles and a Coke Zero, to be told they have no diet drinks at all! The salmon starter was generous, but dull. It needed something to lighten it up. That was followed by a pot of... More

I was spoiled when a v excellent friend and self-confessed foodie took me to Hell for my b'day dinner! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect choice. Elegant with enough character to keep it in fitting with the alternative scene that is Fitzroy - a bold yellow door nestled amongst the greenest bushes you've ever seen is how you... More

I agree with another reviewer, this is definitely one of Melbourne's most under-rated restaurants. Do yourself a favour and go here. You will not regret it. We shared all of our mains and they were superb (the pork, the beef and the lamb - all melt in your mouth!). Order some chips on the side to mop up the sauce.... More

I recently went to this restaurant in a group of 12 and had a below average time. Firstly we were unable to order al la carte and were given no option other than the share menu. They had not made us aware of this at the time of booking either. We asked if we could split the table into 3... More
