We got to Damer Court late afternoon; I think we may have been the only people in the whole place! Cool feeling, like most all pubs in beautiful Ireland. We both had huge plates of food, and a large bowl of piping hot veggies and potatoes was served on the side. The barkeep was incredibly friendly. Great food, accommodation and hospitality. We were well looked after. Good hotel for walking in the Slieve Bloom mountains. Thanks to Mick and Charlie for the expert mountain guiding. Looking forward to coming back in October.

We had one of the best meals on our trip at the Hotel's restaurant. Very good service and nice turn of the century atmosphere.

During a recent visit to Roscrea, we stopped off at the Damer Court Hotel (also known as Grants to the locals) for a bite to eat. We ordered in the bar area and although the food was edible and the service passable, it is definitely not somewhere I'd rush back to. I've been there a few times in the past... More
