Booked La Serenta restaurant in Roscrea as part of our anniversary weekend away. The restaurant is nestled in the shadow of Roscrea castle and it’s a quaint Tudor style building, with a winding stair and triangular shaped windows. They don’t have a wine licence, so we dropped into the local Tesco and armed with a Stellenbosch and Chianti headed for... More

I visited this restaurant on my last evening in Ireland (this trip!) I had eaten here before and found it more than acceptable. However, sadly this time it was a disappointment. They don't have a license for drinks, but this is no problem as there's a very good off license in the town. The waitress found us a pleasant table... More

We were travelling from Dublin to Limerick and looking for a lunch stop south of Portlaoise for good food but not too heavy as we had a booking for a restaurant dinner later. La Serenata proved to be the ideal stop for us, in the centre of Roscrea not far off Junction 22 of the M7. We had pizzas (good... More

A nice cosy restaurant. It has a nice menu which is reasonably priced. Food is very nice. Staff are very friendly and do their best to accommodate you. I eat here when ever im in roscrea and I will be returning.

Lovely little Italian restaurant in roscrea. Great choice in the menu. Starter of garlic mushrooms are gorgeous. Both of us had pizza as main course and both were lovely. Great value. You can bring your own wine.

Ate there on a Saturday, sign outside advertised lunch menu from €7.95 but when we were seated we were told that there is no lunch menu at the weekends. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime which did ring alarm bells but we decided to stay. We only wanted something light and ordered two starters:... More

We had visited this restaurant a fees years ago and I raved about it, the food is authentic and delicious , but we recently visited it in oct for lunch and then for dinner the following night, we were a little disappointed . The recession has hit small restaurants like this very hard, it was empty, there was no atmosphere.... More
