The evening meal was excellent.good quality and selection,However Breakfast is not so good. Cheap sausages and bacon.
We had previously stayed for honeymoon evening in a four poster before flying off to Cyprus and were very happy. The location is lovely and the staff very friendly. This is a high class establishment and does not disappoint. Our anniversary meal was also an occasion to remember and the restaurant is highly recommended
Thank you for a fabulous lunch today. All 17 of us from three generations were delighted with your food and service. The privacy of the lovely room and stunning views helped. From the minute we joined you, the lovely bar staff made us welcome. It was relaxed for us and you made us feel as though your restaurant was our... More
My wife and the team looked after you all and as with all these events, we provide the backdrop but you provide the organisation from your guests point of view as well as the whole approach to the occasion. We are delighted the day was a success and particularly pleased to read that all generations enjoyed it. Many thanks for... More
I decided to take my wife out the day before Mothers day as a treat since children abroad. We arrived on impulse and were warmly greeted. We were a bit early but that did not seem to pose any problems. We ordered the food and when ready were shown into the dining room. There was a wedding reception which they... More
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you were not told we had a small wedding lunch that day, you should have been told and I apologise. In fact we take very, very few weddings but do have a lot of special occasion get-togethers eg special anniversaries and special birthdays - usually ending in "0"! I'm pleased your meal was... More
We had a lovely lunch at Cottage in the Wood. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot, with views across the Severn Valley. The welcome was good, and drinks were served in a comfortable lounge, where we relaxed until being led to our table, which was a window seat with the view. The décor and tables were modern and fresh.... More
I'm very pleased that you enjoyed your lunch with us and everyone played their part. Lunch is an oddity in as much as some days we are run off our feet and others are very quiet. Its been the same for the 26 years we have been here. If I could crack it, I'd be wiser and considerably richer! Thank... More
My wife and I were fortunate to hit on this marvellous place in exceptional weather, where the surroundings were matched both by the warmth of welcome and careful service of a high quality lunch with ample choice. We found our wishes catered for in every way and would not hesitate to recommend it for an extremely memorable treat.
Thank you very much for your review. I'm delighted you enjoyed your lunch (which costs) and the views (that don't!!). The recent positively balmy spring has been a joy and we've had good visibility so the views are at their best. Last year we were under snow in mid March. Brrrrrr. John More
We lunched @ this delightful hotel restaurant following a visit to the Morgan Motor factory in Malvern. We were not disappointed. The food was extremely tasty & well presented. There were only 4 others in the restaurant so not a lot of atmosphere, but it was a Wednesday & we arrived @ 1.30pm. I would love to stay here next... More
Well persevered to climb up the drive! It is steep but as you say, well worth the effort. At least you didn't have to walk! This time last year was a real challenge as we had snow that lasted through the early Easter. Thank you for your review. Hope to see you again. John More
The food, ambiance, service and surroundings combine to mak e this an unforgettable experience.Because of all these things any time of year is good.
Thank you for your kind comments. You are right, every time of the year is different and the view changes as seasons come and go and the light often highlights features not seen before. Delighted you enjoyed your visit. John More
The food was good, the view from where we were sitting was excellent and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. However the decor is dated and shabby in places. Even though the food was good, it was expensive.
Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased of course that you enjoyed your meal but sorry you felt it was pricey. When I eat in pubs I often think it appears inexpensive but the final bill always seems to tot up and comes as a surprise. John More
