We had a wonderful anniversary meal last night and everything was perfect. The party included all ages and Kathy & Ian made sure everyone enjoyed their meal, even though we all had different dietary needs and preferences. It's always a pleasure to eat there and usually eat something that cannot be cooked at home! Will definitely be back in the... More

What a wonderful evening spent with friends enjoying wonderful food and a lot of laughs! Ian and Kathy Smith made our large group feel right at home when we walked through the door. Had a really good dining experience in this wee Bistro on October 4th. Iain's banter was so entertaining and the food matched the front of house charm! If you are in this neck of the woods, this wee place is a must visit.

Four of us ate there last week [September 2014]. Food was very imaginative and well done. I enjoyed the evening as did my companions. We were travelling from Lands End to John O'Groats - this was the best meal on the journey - we voted on it on the final evening! A great find and an absolute gem.

I did some research on eating in the area as we were following our nephew taking part in the Ride Across Britain. We were not disappointed. Ian at the Crannag Bistro is a real character and enjoys entertaining his customers. I started with a cheese soufflé which was yummy and then had the pancakes with pork, plum sauce, spring onion... We found the Crannag Bistro almost by chance - it was the nearest restaurant to where we were staying in Bonar Bridge - and it's absolutely superb. Owned and operated by a couple who are real foodies, every dish is based on local produce of the highest quality. The menu is imaginative and satisfying, supported by a thoughtful range of... More
