We visited with friends on our yearly trip up north and again our visit to the Cranag was a real highlight. The staff remembered us and Ian and Kathy really went out of there way to ensure that the night was memorable, including making something special for my daughter which she had remembered from a previous visit and a great... Another fantastic meal at the Crannag. Really select menu but it had amazing choices & it was hard to pick. I had cheese soufflé with Chilli cream & smoked haddock risotto which is a favourite of mine. Great friendly atmosphere which is always important. Will definitely be going back.

We recently spent 10 days in the Dornoch area (February 2015) and struggled to find anywhere open (Scottish Tourist Board take note please) let alone somewhere nice to eat so it was to our great surprise and pleasure when we found the Crannag Bistro in Bonar Bridge. We had dinner there twice and on both occassions the food was flawless.... More

We tried The Crannag Bistro for the first time last night and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was tremendous, all three courses. We enjoyed our chat with Ian and our table next to the wood burner was perfect. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful anniversary meal last night and everything was perfect. The party included all ages and Kathy & Ian made sure everyone enjoyed their meal, even though we all had different dietary needs and preferences. It's always a pleasure to eat there and usually eat something that cannot be cooked at home! Will definitely be back in the... More
