Gargantuan servings

Cheap prices and HUGE amount of homemade-like food. Maybe it's not the most refined place to have a dinner, but here you can easily fill your belly with a lot of italian delicacies.

We went to this restaurant while we were staying in Radicofani. It was hte night before the Mille Miglia was going to pass through Radicofani - there was a lot of excitement there, a number of people who were staying overnight to watch the 1000 miglia the next day as well. When we went in, although, the inside tables were... More

Great and amazing food. Relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Very nice staff (even to foreigners). Locals definitely eat here. Be sure to take the quick walk to the scenic overlook by the church (catch that at dusk -- at a glance the fields of Tuscany can be mistaken for an ocean).

Ate here in August with Italian family, as soon as we had the menu in hand the lady jumped on us rolling out a long, long list of dishes of course we couldn't remember them all so we were quiet embarrassed and asked for time. In a group of nine one of us waited ten minutes more for their meal and... More

If you want to relish local specialties (try their pasta con cinghiale), this is the place to go. The food is typical of the area, the wines are delicious and the staff efficient and friendly. The place is filled with locals, which is a good indication. It is certainly a place to recommend...

The food is plentiful, good, and reasonably priced. The house red wine is completely drinkable and, at €3.50 for 375 cl., a heck of a deal. The staff are helpful and good natured, even when they’re run off their feet by Italian bicyclists and German motorcyclists, as they were during my recent visit. The walls are decorated with classic motor... More

We rented an apartment in Radicofani and the best part of that town is LaGrotta. The cinghiale and polenta is just scrumptious. I went to La Grotta 3 times and each time I could not pass up this dish. The place is bustling with people at all times on the weekend. Reservations are recommended. Giovannina is one of the owners... More

It was our first restaurant experience in Radicofani..a busy saturday lunch.Very reasonable prices and enormous portions, good local house wine and family service.Maybe if I was'nt a chef and having a good knowledge of tuscan cuisine I would'nt have been too critical. However, everything was fine, just was'nt the best place I ate in Val d'Orcia.

This is a rustic little place in a "grotto". The food is very simple but tasy and very good value. They also have bottles of local wine for about EUR3.50 and you only pay for how much you drink. Don't expect anything fancy. This place is great for a casual, simple and tasty meal.
