Visited for lunch on way to Pisa airport - the restaurant was very busy with locals which we took to be a good sign for good food. The Antipasto buffet was quite good as was the linguine with scampi, but the chicken and the pork ribs that my son and wife had were definitely below par. Service was very slow... More

I've now eaten lunch here on more than a few occasions, and the food is of a high consistent standard. Usually have a selection of antipasta followed by a mix of pasta dishes. Ask if you can have a mix of half portions, they are happy to do this if your party size all does the same.

Food was well cooked and some staff friendly, well used by local Italians but not a patch on the agritourismo that we stayed at. We were recommended to go here as it was the staffs night off at our agritourismo.

We ended up visiting da Carlo because the owners of the Agriturismo that we were staying at have a well earned evening off on Tuesdays. We found the restaurant to be quite large and reasonably busy. The service was good and the Antipasto buffet had good variety. My wife and I both had pasta dishes and these we rated as... More

The food was quite good and reasonably priced. You get what you expect from a typical Italian restaurant. The fish is recommended.

Food factory, always crowded which is truly a miracle. There are plenty of better alternatives in the direct neighbor hood. Kitchen clearly lacks any pride and love for preparing and presenting basic italian food. The coteletta milanese we ordered came right from a supermarket and was served with just 1 salad leaf, the french fries were cold on the inside... More

This restaurant manages the apparently impossible: having less than mediocre food in a region where food is usually supremely good. It all starts with the sign - resembling a McDonald's - and the rest is not much better. The place is not awful, mind me - clean, pleasant enough outside (not beautiful, but it's outdoors) and ok inside. Good and... More

Nice, a little bigger restaurant in the heart of Tuscany. Meals were great, we ate there 4 times during our stay. Around 8pm there is really a lot of people, so it gets crowdy, but earlier its perfect. Not expensive at all.

Honest food served in a large restaurant/pizzeria, not cheaper than others in the area, but full of locals enjoying themselves in the way Italians do. Its size tends to make it a bit noisy as the place fills up.

This an outstanding popular restaurant. The service is efficient and friendly. The food is very good and the 5 Euro buffet starter is amazing value. There is a wide choice and the pizzas are marvellous. There is a large car park. and outdoor dining in a lovely garden.
