Used to be good but has gone downhill.

I've been to this Indian countless times because I live in Guisborough and it was normally top notch. Last time I ate inside the restaurant, the food was lovely but me and my boyfriend were asked to move so that they could take our table which I found to be quite rude. The atmosphere inside isn't... read more

Myself and my family order takeaway from the Indian Cottage almost every week and it is by far the best Indian takeaway we have ever had, and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else! The waiting time is never too long, the staff are extremely friendly, the food is beautiful and not too expensive! Definitely worth a visit!!

Always superb tasty food. Very clean front and back of house. Staff have no problem showing you the kitchen so see how things are made. They will make you anything you request and always tastes good. Special balti, madras hot with king prawns is spot on. Decent pint that is always replaced before it gets empty. Would recommend and return

After a busy day shopping and then wrapping the gifts the very last thing that I wanted to do was cook for the family. We ordered a take away which catered for each family member's taste. Plentiful, tasty dishes, well prepared, service was excellent and attentive staff with the offer of carrying the dishes to the car. We have eaten... More

One of the oddest Indian restaurants I've been to, it is as open, bright and functional as a "works canteen". Not the best curry I've eaten (the Parthia was too sweet for my palate), but definitely not the worst. Good staff and reasonable prices, a very popular place that was buzzing with the noise of customers enjoying themselves.

Met up with some friends for a meal and was a bit disappointed with the decor upon entering. However, the waiters were great and very attentive and the drinks were promptly served. I ordered the prawn dansak with peas pilau and it was delicious. The prices on first glance look a bit much but the portions are huge and delicious.... More

Excellent friendly service, always very welcoming. We go here once if not twice a week and never disappointed. Despite other comments from people from Middlesbrough and further afield you do not get charged £1 for a container to take your food home. And if you choose a dish that is just plain meat of the menu it is bound to... More

As a lover of Curry and as this place had recently been voted the 'Best in Teesside' I though I would pay the place a visit... I am still underwhelmed. The decor IS poor, but I don't understand people moaning at that - to be honest i couldn't care less what the decor is like - especially in a traditional... More
