Set on the banks of the Conwy Estuary, overlooking the historic medievil town of Conwy with a backdrop of coastal mountains, the Grill Room offers a fantastic dining experience. The Quay Hotel and Spa provides a contemporary yet stylish setting, discreet but attentive service and, of course, excellent food. The Grill Room is simply decorated with vistas across the water setting the scene, keeping to a subtle but plush palate, complete with comfortable seating and immaculate place settings. The mouth watering menu includes a large range of local, seasonal Welsh produce and cleverly created dishes, using fine ingredients and beautiful presentation. A choice of A La Carte or Table d’Hote is available.

Great food, well presented and tasted delicious, mussels, steak and Welsh mousse. Service slow though, waitresses very attentive and professional. Waiters looked uninterested. Got bread thrown on my placemat on arrival, no plate, balsamic vinegar had been used by someone else. No drink order taken until food order and no suggestions about what would go well with the order, even... More

We ate at the Grill Room during our stay at The Quay Hotel and were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. The head waiter explained all the options very clearly and really knew what he was talking about and our choices were lovely. The Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble - very, very... Vaguely amusing if not stoic restaurant staff. They knew my gorgeous girlfriend Beverley was turning 50. A "special" pud plate was agreed....it wasnt. Can't give you the positive for now as so disappointed. Michelin listing hangs in the balance.

Had a 4 course meal in with sweet treat package price -the meal was excellent , imaginative and varied and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy and staff made sure we felt welcomed . Each course was cooked to perfection and I have no doubts whatsoever on recommending it

The service and the food served was excellent. I did not dislike anything at all. The bar area is very relaxing and good to socialise. Drinks maybe a tad expensive, but nothing more than can be expected in a place like this.

The last three times that my husband and I have dined at the Quay we have been disappointed with the service and wait for our meals. Today, we decided to give it another chance - disappointing again! Our drinks order was taken fairly quickly then later we were asked for our menu choice. Our drinks (1 beer and 1 tea)... More

We always like to break our journeys up and down the A55. This was our first visit to this hotel. We sat in the bar area and ordered coffee which arrived quite quickly. Pleasant service. Lovely views of the estuary. However my only surprise was that there was not a (small) biscuit or similar offered with the coffee. Most other... More

Food was well cooked and beautifully presented. There was a good range on the menu, and the desserts simply had to be seen to be believed! The cheesecake canneloni was fantastic, a wonderful balance of sweet and sharp passion fruit.

Ate here one night as we had a free evening meal as part of our hotel package deal. It was busy for a Monday night yet the staff remained attentive throughout. The food was okay and very filling. The menu however was shamefully laden with gramatical Errors and layout issues.
