Quality food for a good price

Just been here and enjoyed my first visit here. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Went on a Tuesday which has a 'Buy one get one half price' deal running. Which is very good value for money. I had the cottage pie which was a very good sized portion and the other half had the lasagne, which was... read more

We used this as a halfway lunch point on a circular walk on my birthday around the lovely Elham valley. The restaurant was full but we were happy to eat in the bar area. The steak and ale pie was substantial but average but the roast lamb was good. The service was pleasant but slow, but became almost non existent... More

We went here for Easter Sunday lunch and had booked a table for seven in advance. There was a very busy bar at the front with a restaurant seating area at the back. They served good real ale. The menu had a traditional Sunday roast as well other choices. Some of us had starters and most had desserts. The food... More

This is a lovely 16th century inn in the heart of this delightful village, on the square opposite the church. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a cosy bar area at the front with an extensive restaurant behind and a beer garden outside. We came here for lunch after a walk through the surrounding countryside. The... More

Took the whole family along for Mothers Day dinner. Quick, friendly service and food that let you clear your plate, but best of all was that the prices for Mothers Day dinner remained the same as last week and the month before. No price hike at the Kings Arms on a special occasion and they also catered for young children

This is a 16th century pub with a small bar at the front and a larger dining area at the rear. It is in a quiet location on Elham's village square, opposite the church. It's a free house so the cask beer varies, but is well kept. The menu is varied with something to suit all tastes, augmented by daily... More

We visited today, 3 adults, 2 children and a dog. We were greeted in a welcome & friendly manner and nothing was too much trouble. Dogs on leads are welcome in the bar area, so we sat down and ordered off the menu - plenty to choose from and at reasonable prices. It was great to see a children's menu... More

Together with a bunch of friends, I called in at the King's Arms for lunch after a lovely walk around Elham. We had a wonderful warm reception, and an excellent pint of draught Boddingtons (unusual in these parts) was just what I needed when we arrived! Top marks for that, landlord! This is a great little Kentish country pub -... More

A great village pub, great beers s really nice food. Nothing fancy but good wholesome pub grub, with some very good offers during the week.its been busy every time I,ve been there. Very friendly efficient staff. A great setting in a lovely village and the pub is very much part of the community. Always a pleasure eating or drinking here!

We took our friend here on Saturday lunchtime for her 99th birthday. The meal was excellent and the staff efficient and polite, and very attentive. We have eaten here on a few occasions in the evening and the food has always been exceptional. Being Saturday, I expect everyone was out doing their Christmas shopping, and there were not many people... More
