We just stumbled into this restaurant, Thanx to our cab driver who dropped us at the wrong terminal. All not lost, we sat to eat at the Cafe Rouge. The food oooolala, your typical french cuisine. They were quick, and the food was fresh and tasted just like a home cooked meal. Awesome. Thanx to our cab driver.

Stopped here after a busy week in London. Staff were very friendly. Nice menu and food was good although I would avoid a rare Bavette as it is quite tough. Restaurant is quite spacious and quiet. You don't really feel you are in a busy airport

Selected the 'rare' Bavette with fries. It took me 10 minutes to cut two small mouth fulls, - there was a huge snake-like sinewy lump running throughthe 'steak. We had been to Cafe Rouge on a recent trip to Windsor and were pleasantly surprised to see it again in Terminal 1 at Heathrow. The menu was the same including their £10 specials. Had a delicious lunch and would recommend it if you are looking for something a bit more than sandwiches in a plastic packet.
