The atmosphere in the café is welcoming and so is the friendly service. The menu offers a nice variety of good food, both, vegetarian and meet courses. The waiter was friendly and the service was efficient - just what is needed before departure to catch a plane. I will definitely go back!

We just stumbled into this restaurant, Thanx to our cab driver who dropped us at the wrong terminal. All not lost, we sat to eat at the Cafe Rouge. The food oooolala, your typical french cuisine. They were quick, and the food was fresh and tasted just like a home cooked meal. Awesome. Thanx to our cab driver.

A chance choice but was well worth it,service was quick polite, tables gave you a decent amount of elbow room and menu simple but tempting, recommend the French toast although the French£7.95 breakfast a good choice as well, good spot for people watching and was impressed with the girl wearing her onesy and packing her spare clothes into it and not her suitcase... Stopped here after a busy week in London. Staff were very friendly. Nice menu and food was good although I would avoid a rare Bavette as it is quite tough. Restaurant is quite spacious and quiet. You don't really feel you are in a busy airport

Ate here for a late breakfast on Friday prior to departure. This is our usual restaurant at terminal one, we have eaten airside but really prefer the quality offered by Cafe Rouge rather than those who offer meals on the other side. It was extremely quiet with only a few tables with diners even though it was 9.40am. Drinks ordered... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years with my family when we've been en route for our annual break. Heathrow's Terminal 1 is not the most attractive location but this restaurant provides its own welcoming ambiance, as well as - helpfully - just about enough room for a loaded baggage trolley. The menu doesn't actually vary that... More

My wife and I visited Cafe Rouge at terminal 1, Heathrow Airport before she flew to Germany on business. The service was very good, although there was an element of selling on the menu... we ordered a glass of wine each and were offered the bottle, and as the meals were going to be 15 minutes would we want to... Selected the 'rare' Bavette with fries. It took me 10 minutes to cut two small mouth fulls, - there was a huge snake-like sinewy lump running throughthe 'steak. I complained immediately and had 20% taken from the bill, so £14+ for abowl of a chips and a glass of coke. Disgraceful response from the manager who sat at his own... More

We had been to Cafe Rouge on a recent trip to Windsor and were pleasantly surprised to see it again in Terminal 1 at Heathrow. The menu was the same including their £10 specials. Had a delicious lunch and would recommend it if you are looking for something a bit more than sandwiches in a plastic packet.
