this pub is truly lovely countryside pub the owners are amazingly welcoming and the beer is great UNFORTUNATELY there are people that wish to say bad things because they have a grudge against fox hunting Such a shame.

A great pub with good quality pub grub. There is also a good selection of real ale which is very well kept by the landlord.

What a great evening we had. Myself and my husband went for a meal with a couple of friends, what a great atmosphere, and really nice friendly staff, a people place not the clicky atmosphere you sometimes find. What can i say about the food.. The best meal we've had in a very long time, if you like home cooked... More

As pub grub goes you've got to go a long way to beat this. Five real ales available doesn't hurt either. I'm writing this review as a bit of swan song to young Ricky, who's about to go off to uni to study aeronautical engineering or some such thing. Either way, it's not rocket science! Nor is serving up good... More

We had high hopes about The Bell and went for an evening meal to check it out before booking for a large family celebration. When we entered the bar area ahead of sitting down, we were asked by the lady behind the bar what we would like to drink. I asked for a glass of white wine, expecting to be... More

The Bell's restaurant area is quite small, so it's best to reserve by ringing ahead, but with all home-cooked food and huge portions, plus daily specials, it's difficult to choose what to eat.The pub is popular with the (very welcoming) locals, and has a lively atmosphere (as well as a lovely suntrap of a garden)...and as if that weren't enough, the... Another visit to a delightful pub set almost in the middle of nowhere. Great staff and owners and amazing home cooked food. The Pork Shank was succulent beyond belief. Great choice of Ale and Ciders. Hige, and I mean huge roaring log powered range fire in the Winter.

When we entered the pub it was nice to see a good crowd of local people enjoying a drink. It gave a lively atmosphere to the pub. The menu had some interesting things on it, lots to choose from and a change from the usual pub food. I had liver and onions, the first time for years and it was... More
