Thought we'd try somewhere new in WK for dinner, and noticed they were open at night Thurs-Sat. Such a good decision! The setting is an informal, rustic delight - a bohemian boat house experience, which oozes charm. Decor won't be to all tastes - far from plush, no plastic or luxury trim, lots of creaks. But loved it - so... More

Tried to eat and get a drink here, but 15 mins after giving us the menu we still could not attract the waitresses attention to take our order so just got up and left.

Found this place purely by chance whilst on a bike ride with a friend...and was very impressed. The staff were very nice, and the food was delicious, cooked fresh and presented very well. A very nice experience....and clearly a popular venue , I can see why Will definately be back!

Good coffee with very friendly staff. Nice touch of tiny danish with each coffee. Out of the way and so a little tricky to find.

A pleasant cafe with nice coffee, good food on the whole and friendly service, but the long wait between ordering and eating will make me think twice before returning.

Don't be expecting Germanic efficiency at the Sweet Pea, it's a place to go to relax and kill some time. Sometimes the food takes a little while, but so what - if you want 'quick' go to a chain like McD's. Staff and owners are nice, friendly people. Now doing excellent food and wine on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Looks the part from the outside but a shambolic experience; They were unable to produce our initial order when the waitress returned to say the oven was broken (surely she should/would have known this important news when she took the order?); We were then informed the special on the blackboard was 'weeks out of date' - why have it still... This Café is a little breath of fresh air (especially if doors open!!) in West Kirby. It is only small, and a little bit crowded with tables...., but the ambience and food make up for this. We've visited on many occasions, but I have only just started to make entries on Trip Advisor, to help spread the word. If you... More
