Very Average

Called for lunch when out and about. Average service, average food. The place could do with a good clean.

Greeted by friendly staff, but menus were sticky and grimy - never a good first impression. Bar was dingy and gloomy. Restaurant area more pleasant. Food very average and gammon was salty and tough. Mushroom soup very tasty, though. We didn't have sweets so can't comment. Portions average, service average, prices average - nothing much to recommend here I'm afraid.

The first thing to strike me was how dark the pub is. We were greeted by a lovely chap who was friendly and very helpful. That was the only positive. The dining area is also dark and not the cleanest I have visited!! The food was mediocre to say the least. I will not be going back

We have just stopped here on our way home from a day out. Nice looking pub, really friendly bar staff. Waited 40 minutes for our food to come out, 5 minutes before this we were told they had no salmon for the prawn and salmon salad, more prawns were added. It arrived with no croutons. The sausage and mash came... More

Stopped here on the drive back from Torquay to South Wales. We had the fried brie starter, small fish and chips and a steak and ale pie. Even the small portion of fish and chips was quite large and the brie was a great sized portion served with a lovely salad. The steak and ale pie was also very well... More

Good choice of food on the menu. Good honest food cooked well. Good value for money. Friendly staff who were very attentive, however at times I think they were short staffed. The pizzas are very good.

After a long journey famished and needing food and beverage we pulled in to the ten tors large carpark. Tidy surroundings. On entering the bar we were served straight away with our beverage and then enquired about sunday carvery as it smelt delicious and were quickly seated and shown up to the carvery. We both had the lamb which was... More
