We called into the colliery as we was passing by and was very pleasantly suprised. We was made to feel very welcome from entering through the door, we was then explained what food was on offer and may I say the sunday lunch was only £6.95 and worth every penny. Lovely pub with great food and excellent service, always have a great meal when we go! And the prices are good too!!

called good Friday and had the best fish and chips around my partner has a steak that was cooked to perfection BIG portions 2 , highly recommended , great atmosphere and very welcoming

Me and the wife went here after hearing it had recently changed hands and wow what a lovely meal , friendly staff and very reasonably price and home made chips make all the difference , will be back for sure , lovely .

Firstly I never write reviews so it shows you how impressed I was with the place that I felt compelled to make a compliment. Just cannot fault the place, not that I would need to. Top run family pub which consistently produces top, freshly cooked food with excellent service. And they don't get sniffy if you turn up in a pair of jodhpurs
