Had eaten out earlier but was en route back and my business partner suggested a bear here. Lovely surroundings and a quality range of beers. Food menu looked great so will try when back in the area.

For the last two summers our travels have brought My wife Diane and I through Duxford England. Both times we have stayed at the Duxford Lodge (great) and eaten at the John Barleycorn. The Barleycorn in my opinion is everything you hope an English pub too be. good beer, good people and good food. In point of fact the Barleycorns... More

We chose this pub for an early evening meal after visiting the nearby Imperial War Museum, and reserved a table a few days previously. The pub is interesting for its association with the Polish airmen that flew from RAF Duxford during the Second World War. Our meal was served very efficiently in a room that included the bar, so I... Staying nearby, we booked into this on a Friday night for a meal. The pub was busy with a good atmosphere. I'm not sure if they could find our booking, or just couldn't work out which our table was, but there was a slight commotion when we arrived, but we were soon sat at a table. A menu with several... Totally shocked by the number of food selections and the quality of the food in this Non-assuming Pub! We were forewarned when we arrived around noon to deposit our bags before heading to the Air Museum. The gentleman asked if we were in for Dinner . Our response was probably at which time he stated I will put you in... More

The menu offers a wonderful selection of locally sourced venison, and ice cream, clearly outlining where your meal is from, which is generous in portion and very satisfying. The staff were fantastic.

Good selection of Real Ale, very quaint thatched pub, low ceilings and all. Friendly staff and plenty of outdoor seating. Had a shared Mezze, very nice also.

Staying in the local area whilst flying at Duxford, had a pint one night when passing and then went back the following night for a meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Superb service and probably the best Gammon had ever had, together with the wonderful Liver starter. Will go back again, when visiting the area!

Had 2x Fish and chips, 4X beers between 2 people. Black sheep ale and usual greene king ones, it was probably the best fish and chips ive ever had! The pub has excellent parking facilities, and has a lovely old but new feel inside

Visited for a quick lunch, the pub was quite busy but not heaving. Whilst ordering the landlord was needlessly rude to me, and was later rude to another member of my party. He had a dreadful attidude. I ordered an avacoado and crayfish sandwich, it was £6.25, it contained one very small piece of avacado and 3 pieces of crayfish... More
