Homemade soup

Visited as walking in area. The only cafe in Malham but worth a visit. Food can only be described as home made lovely food. The soup was amazing. Dogs allowed and muddy boots. Staff freiendly. Worth a visit if in area walking.

A typical walker's cafe: tiled floor (muddy boots welcome), hard seats, reasonable food and a little on the cramped side. One toilet serves all

After a brisk walk up to the Cove we called here for our usual, an all day breakfast for my husband & beans on toast for me. Both tasted great as always. We have called here on many occasions, we are always very pleased with the service & quality of the food. Would certainly recommend, there is a varied menu... More

Stopped here for soup and a sandwich after a walk in Malham. There's very little to choose from so your choice of establishments is limited. It's a standard cafe inside with a decent amount of choice at prices you would expect. One complaint - the young staff members were sullen verging on rude- an attempt at a smile really wouldn't... Hi, Thanks for your review. Can you confirm when you visited the cafe,so I know which members of staff you are talking about. We only employ local kids who are usually friendly. We have some new trainees on the counter who are nervous, which may come across as unfriendly. We do rely on passing trade but assure you we do try hard, and work long... More

Excellent value for money, great coffee, hearty scones and energising food after a morning of walking. Staff are friendly and cater wonderfully for walkers. Love the sign outside 'Muddy boots welcome' with a boot above the wording - truely catering for the walker.

Dreadfully weak Latte's but cream teas OK and cheap. Plenty of staff on hand, dogs welcomed and overall a pleasant place.

After another wonderful walk to the cove I had a very nice latte. Returned 1/2 hr later with family to have snacks. Was told we would have to be charged for tap water for children. Excuse was we have to wash glasses. We got one free because I had a cup of tea. My family doesn't drink sugary drinks therefore... More

It's a common misconception - but actually only licensed establishments (those that serve alcohol) in England, Wales and Scotland must provide free drinking water. According to Paragraph 3 of the Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) Order 2010, which came into force in April 2010, all restaurants in England and Wales that serve alcohol are legally required to give customers... Called in here after a lovely 5 mile walk and in need of a coffee. I am gluten intolerant and was delighted to see that there was a full gluten free menu. I didn't need a full meal today but wanted coffee and a cake and there was a good selection of gluten free muffins or a scone. I had... More
