Great real ale and a hearty menu make this a great pub restaurant after a day's walking. Not haute cuisine but good local produce on a good pub menu. Not cheap for a steak £20.00 but plenty of choice around £13. Portion sizes are pretty big too. We enjoyed 7 different mains over two nights and we were pleased. The... More

Had evening meal after long walk. The pub was friendly & warm with open fires blazing. The reserved table was next to the fire which might seem perfect after a long walk in snow but it was too close to the fire to be comfortable, also the table was wedge in the alcove which ment that it had to be... Wonderful place to stay for winter break. Open fire in the bar and all of rooms really warm. Food fantastic the chef knows his stuff, all locally sourced food freshly cooked. Staff so friendly and the locals. Good place to say for walking

This is a really good pub selling really good food - locally sourced, home made and unpretentious. It also has good ale if you're into that, I am not but my husband is. We ate at the Buck Inn twice whilst we were in Malham. The local trout cooked in paper was excellent as was the game pie. Go hungry,... More

A bit rough around the edges, but lovely food and atmosphere. Let dogs in which is great, very friendly.

Visited during the summer with my wife for a meal. Her veggie lasagne had a side salad that included a worm fresh from the garden. Having complained, they apologised and offered to make a new one. Last week, when visiting Malham with friends we ended up back in the Buck. The five of us made two orders at the same... More

On checking out we found an additional Drinks charged to our room. Keep a tally of what you order. The Lister arms was altogether a more warming and welcoming Inn

I took my boots off before i realised there was no need to. The staff welcomed us in and filled our glasses properly. I had lovely homemade soup with a great warmed hunk of bread, just what you need on a cold days walking. The pannini my friend had looked and tasted great. We will be back!

A once fantastic pub in the heart of Malham that I had been going to for years. 5 years elapsed and I decided to make a return trip to find that it now resembles a wetherspoons! The character has been totally detroyed by a recent 'refurbishment' and the sticky and greasy menu was difficult to read in such a dingy... More
