Had dinner here during an overnight in Malham. Loved that a board told where everything was sourced from. Hubby had a rabbit pie shot by a local man. Food portions were huge! Beer was good. Prices did seem spendy for being such a remote location.

Have eaten at the Buck a few times when visiting Malham. Had lunch again recently on a lovely hot Saturday afternoon. Their small garden at the rear of the pub was an ideal location. I had their fish and chips and it was amazingly good. I had not expected the totally fresh fish and real home cooked chips that were... More

Cann't say I disliked anything. The food was good and the beer was good. The local residents seemed to go out of there way to make you feel accepted. Not easy for a Lncashire lad to say that.

Service very friendly, beer excellent, food terrible,The gravy jug was put on top of the gravy that was over the food in the plate,so when I lifted the jug to pour more gravy on the food, the jug dripped all over the table, what a strange way to deliver food? will not be going back....

They catered for a large party without notice. Like the Lister's arms they need a kick of competition to get them 5 stars.

We had a wonderful child free weekend during a heatwave in Malham. The first pub we went into was the buck, our pints were decent but not great but the menu was awsome, full of interesting things I wouldn't cook at home which is what I look for when eating out. There was a unappetising smell in the bar area... More

We were staying nearby to watch the Tour de France and walked down to the Buck Inn very much on the basis of it bearing the nearest! We were glad that we did. The place was busy with other cycling fans and people watching the World Cup but it never felt over-crowded. We ate there both nights of our stay... More

Our friends were staying in this wonderful Inn in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and were there to watch the 1st stage of the Tour de France. We booked dinner in the restaurant for about 7.30pm but brought it forward, not a problem as empty. You can also eat in the bar, but as there was ten of us... More

The evening meals were well prepared with a good choice. Went three times in all and chose to eat in the bar area (at the time we did not notice another area at the back). Unfortunately our meals were spoilt by fellow diners. Day 2 = a very noisy football team and followers eating which attracted & took the young... More
