Nice real ales, great pub grub with locally sourced produce some of which is fished or hunted by the owners. Rabbit pie was lovely. A real find.

After a bracing family walk we decided to pop in to this wonderful Yorkshire stone building for a late lunch. It was a little unclear from the outside which entrance lead to the restaurant and not the hotel side which lead to us seating ourselves in the residents side of the restaurant/pub. Nobody seamed to mind! The menu had a... More

4 adults and 1 child visited on a busy, sunny Saturday afternoon. Only looking for a couple of basic bar snacks - Panini's, chips etc. No real issues although we felt they picked up an element of our order incorrectly - not enough to affect our day in fairness! Reasonable prices and tasty food. Fair enough.

Excellent food. Dog friendly. Good atmosphere with friendly staff. Stayed in Beck Hall for 3 nights and ate in the Buck Inn over two nights.

Great ale, wonderful food, fab atmosphere. Decor is amazing and some of the wrought iron work, made by lady blacksmith in the village, are works of art. Staff friendly and full of help and advice.

Stopped at Beck Hall and came out for tea here. Sign on the door said 'Families, Muddy boots and Dogs Welcome' which I thought was nice. I had the fish and chips, it was huge and without a doubt the best Fish and chips I've ever had. Really nice atmosphere with very friendly staff and patrons.

The roast chicken was very tasty but served with too much carbohydrate (roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, roast parsnips and a very dry Yorkshire pudding) and carrots cooked in a sugary sauce. Really needed some steamed broccoli. And the ridiculously expensive wine was worse than my usual white from Aldi which only costs £3.76 a bottle!!

Tried the Buck Inn whilst staying in Malham for a weekend. A group of five of us attended Saturday evening, and we all agreed that the food was lovely. Friendly staff, and a good selection of beers - The Theakstons went down really well!. The only tip I'd give is book before you go if possible. It gets busy, we... More
