Lobster Lovers Paradise

We have visited Linnane's many times, indeed we go out of our way when going to Co Clare to make sure we eat in New Quay at Linnane's. The sight of the lady chef walking to the pier to collect the Lobster you are about to eat after she has boiled it for a few minutes is exciting. How fresh... read more

Visited this pub restaurant in March great food and lovely small bar with a lovely open fire. People were lovely and friendly, although you need to watch out for the sign after leaving Kinvara. Lovely views overlooking the sea from the large windows. Good crowd there even though it was March.

We had a meal here very recently. We were a bit apprehensive as we hadn't tried it before. We were very impressed with both the service quality of food and value. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was one of the best meals we ever had and we will definitely be back.

Our dinner at Linnane's was one of the best of our trip. We had raw oysters from Galway Bay, crab claws, crab cakes, scallops, and fresh fish. The wine list had a good selection and our server made a suggestion that went well with our meal. The location is great - right on the water. We were able to watch... More

Great venue with a lovely friendly atmosphere and efficient staff, it's family run which adds to it's charm. Food is always fabulous, the crab claws were amazing. A little expensive but well worth the treat. Beautiful drive down the coast on the way home to Limerick. Highly recommended if you're in that part of the country.

Expensive, but have eaten here plenty of times over the years, Last weekend asked for a childs portion of fish, no childrens portions of adult mains. I refuse to pay €17.95 for fish and chips for a child.......and would not insult her by giving her fish fingers. Kids like real food too.........The sea food platter was nice as were the... More

This says it all: we stopped to eat at Linnane's three times in 10 days. We were staying in Kinvara, just a few miles down the road, so luckily it was a quick trip. During the winter, the restaurant is normally open on Fri-Sat-Sun only. But between Christmas and New Year's, they were open the whole week and we took... More
