Just back from Roda and ate lunches and dinners in the Five Roses Warm friendly welcome from Elena and the food was really good and value for money Yes it took a bit of time but it was freshly cooked and we were having a drink whilst waiting. Its in a good location at the sea front and was a... More

In May, Alex, Patricia and I, stopped at the Five Roses to have a snack and a drink. Elena gave us a warm, typical greek welcome. The pita gyros we had was a little different than the ones we had at other places but it was from far the best. The atmosphere was very friendly and family-like and as it... More

During our recent stay in Acharavi we walked down to Roda for our evening meal every evening. On our first night one of our party chose Five Rose. Whilst it wasn’t the worst place we ate at during the week it certainly ranks very low. The reason for this is solely due to the amount of time this meal took.... More

In contrast to Laurence,(who admitted to my husband he has never eaten there) I do tend to eat most of meals at the Five Roses but I do eat elsewhere as other reviews will attest. Yes some food is frozen (as in nearly all tavernas/restaurants/ bars in Roda). The menu is reduced this year due to lack of tourists visiting... More

I dont know where else Andie or Ausiegirl have tried to eat in Roda but obviously they have not gone beyond the Five Roses/Opa. Went only for a snack to see if it had improved but sadly it had not.

Opa is now known as Five Roses Restaurant and Bar. They have extended their snack menu during the day which is proving popular with people spending the day on the beach. At the time of our visit there was a set menu in place. 3 Courses with a glass of wine for 10E and proving popular. Although there is a... More

If you are trying to find it, Taverna Opa, is now called the ‘Five Roses Restaurant’ and is at the end of the village right opposite the harbour. My favourite dish is ‘skartotseta’ - fresh herbs, rolled in beef & cooked in a tomato sauce. You won’t find this dish in many other places in Corfu - Yiannis learned it... More

Have been going to this Taverna every year we go to Roda. We discovered it on our first night and usually eat there most nights while we are on holiday. The dining area looks over the beach towards Albania. It is an open area but if the weather turns inclement the clear plastic blinds are lowered. There used to be... More
