We visit Llanidloes every summer and always eat at least once in the Bengal Brasserie. The food is usually really nice, and you can take your own wine etc as they don;t have a drinks licence. On this occasion we were very pleased with our meals, which were served quickly and were delicious. There were not many people in and... More

We visited the bengal brasserie whilst working in the village. On first impressions it looked very nice, but as soon as the manager came to take our order, there was a very strong BO coming from him. We ordered two glasses of coke which just about had some life in it but was warm even with the two small lumps... More

As far as Indian restaurants go this was not bad , the starters were delicious and the main courses were served in bowls rather than in steel containers on a burner to keep them warm. Pricing was average £ 47 for 3 of us . On the evening that we were there we were the only ones in and the... More

I'd been to this indian restaurant twice before and had two mediocre to average meals. But the waiter (a young indian chap) was at least friendly and very humble, and as there's not being much else in Llani, I was reasonably happy with the restaurant and would probably have rated it 3.5 stars. I went there again a few saturdays... More

Very little was open on a Wednesday evening, but I was delighted with my choice to eat here. The food was fabulous, there was plenty of choice for vegetarians and it was excellent value for money. It was quiet, there was a nice atmosphere, the staff were pleasant and offered excellent service. I would definitely return.

With very few places open, apart from a few pub meals available, this was a little Hobson's choice. However, the staff were very friendly, the prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food excellent. had the Chicken saag Balti, Pilau Rice and poppadoms , an excellent meal. Pleasantly surprised.

An average curry but good, friendly and courteous service. Adequate springs to mind. But nowt to recommend.

The food in this Restaurant is lovely. Also their takeaway meals are of a high standard for Indian Restaurants and very good sized portions. Would recommend it.

The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The food is consistently of a high quality. And the takeaways are also very good which doesn't always happen with all Indian restaurants. A relaxing way to end the night after a few beers with friends.

Distressed that our local Indian Restaurant in Rhayader had closed we took a drive up to Llani to try our luck. As others have said, it is not licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own. We found the atmosphere to be a little lacking, but nothing that would give cause for complaint. The menu was standard fare and... More
