Slightly disappointing experience.for some of our party. The lasagne was very overcooked and the scampi was almost burnt. Some members of the party have had good experience on previous visits, but this was not a good one. The service was a little slow and a bit unfriendly.

Went for an evening meal here around 2 weeks ago. The completely empty restaurant should have been enough to put us off, but we just presumed they were having a quiet night. It took around 10 minutes for anyone to actually come out into the restaurant to speak to us and when they did the attitude was of total disinterest.... More

After a long day walking the hills my walking friend and I called in here early evening (around 6pm-ish) hoping for a drink and a snackette (we were open minded as to what this may have been - hot or cold, a starter or a slice of cake etc). We were shown to a table by the front of house... More

I think the locals know something we didn't. Wanted an evening meal, everywhere else in town was full and fully booked (19.00hrs) Not the best of meals (dry chicken, strange salmon with hard bits). No atmosphere, no background music. One other couple eating, lots looked in then went, some came in then quickly left as they wouldn't accommodate the customers... More

This bistro is what it looks like from the outside - simple and satisfactory and not especially good value. The food wasn`t hot when served which is surely a basic requirement today. It`s behind other restaurants in the area, and decoration needs to be zested up.

A friendly, warm welcome, excellent service and beautiful, freshly prepared food. I could not fault them and wish we had returned on the Saturday night.

Came to this lovely little bistro for a golden wedding celebration lunch and was pleasantly surprised in every respect. The food was great and the service from happy and helpful people was excellent. If you are venturing to Llanidloes then make sure you allocate a little time to have a nice and inexpensive meal here

Ate with friends here over the weekend. Food was distinctly average. Big portions though. Service was a bit hit and miss and we felt that they were just intent on getting us out of their as quickly as possible. Homemade veg soup was on the otherhand excellent. Wouldn't go again.

The bacon and mushroom pasta I had was fine, everything nicely cooked. Followed that with ice cream and coffee. The service was fine, polite, and I waited just 15 minutes for the pasta dish which was good. The place could do with a lick of paint on the main inside frontage. They closed early due to a lack of customers.... More

10 of us booked a table for dinner. The food was not expensive - most of us had the set menu - and you get what you pay for - reasonable food, but nothing special. Not a large choice for vegetarians either.
