The setting of this hotel is just beautiful and on a sunny day, it can get exceptionally busy, so it's a shame you can't pre-book. We often come here for lunch/dinner -or sometimes just dessert and a drink or two. The staff are very helpful and attentive, always seem very pleased to see you whether they are busy or not.... More

The Milsom family has plenty of heritage in this area and Kesgrave Hall is a fantastic building in a great setting. The kitchen is visible to diners and seems well staffed and competent. So we expected more than we got. You can't book a table here (unless you are a professional footballer or other local celebrity). This can be frustrating... More

Went here for a birthday lunch with my partner. Had the scallops to start followed by the pork schnitzel with doughnuts for pudding. The food was very well cooked, fresh, with local ingredients and presented beautifully. It was nice to be able to see the open kitchen in operation. We found the staff delightful, friendly and very attentive. The lunch... More

You have to get there early or late to actually get a table, but if you do it's very good with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

What a let down! Went for brunch at about 10am we were told at the bar that it was table service so we found a table and sat there and sat there and staff just kept walking past us think we were invisible! Food was over priced and service bad

Milsoms is in a spectacular building and a beautiful location; unfortunately, that is where the praise ends. Living locally to Milsoms, I have visited many times over the last few years and have witnessed the quality of both food and service decline rapidly. During my most recent visit, I ordered the duck fillet to start and the cheeseburger for my... More

We have been to Milsoms on several occasions so felt it was time to give them a thumbs up. We dropped in for lunch on August Bank Holiday Monday, as always its was busy and buzzing, lots of atmosphere. I had Hake and my Husband had Guinea Fowl, both meals where to a high standard, very tasty and good size... More

I have dined here on many occasions! Some for breakfast (after staying in the hotel). Some lunch, dinner and even afternoon tea! I have enjoyed every single visit I have had here. The food is lovely and well presented and the staff are really nice too! I don't mind the relaxed style of service (not as relaxed as it's sister... More

We have been many times to Milsoms and not had a bad meal yet. Last night (18/08/2014) was no exception. Between us we ordered starters of salmon and the scotch eggs with a very tasty piccalilli. Main course was chicken and potato curry, bangers and mash and the pan fried chicken. All full of flavours and presented really well. The... More

Enjoy Afternoon Tea at it's best. Large canopies to allow you to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views and when chilly the heaters were promptly turned on. The sandwiches very nice with various fillings but the star of the afternoon tea was the gorgeous scones with cream and jam which were so light and delicious and all accompanied with... More
