Very good service and food tasty but more gravy needed with roast beef!!!!

Five of us went around 5 pm on Sunday. Seated at table immediately. Could not fault service from young staff. Meals very nice but not fantastic. Quite pricey for what we had but surroundings and lack of noisy, badly behaved children made the price worth paying. However those of us who had the... read more

What an appealing meal! Staff unaware of specials as seemed to be the cook. When they finally located the sirloin it tasted as if he had been cut from a different joint and re-heated to within an inch of its life in the microwave. Barely warm yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes different colours (suspect re-heated from previous day), no vegetables. Not... More

Have been here a few times. You cannot book so if you have a large group you need to be there early. Large grounds for children to run around in and lose a bit of their energy.

This Restaurant is in the most superb setting, very comfortable but to be honest the food was nice without being exciting. We had the Sunday Lunch which was a OK, the plate and meat was semi hot but the Roast Potatoes were poor. The food generally was very tasty and the Roast Pork cooked beautifully. Its definitely worth another visit!!!

We went to Milsoms for a celebratory meal and it was superb. They were able to accommodate a large group giving children (aged 8-12) their own table. Service was brilliant and the children weren't treated like kids they were treated & served in a very grow up way which contributed to their very good behaviour. The service was great and... More

We often visit Milsoms as it is just down the road from us. We like it because of the "no booking" policy, so you can just turn up. We have learnt through experience to avoid busy times or arrive early. We also like the informality, writing your order on a pad and handing it to a passing staff member works... More

we go here often to eat, the food is good but today both my courses came on dirty plates, full of finger prints, not good enough for a place like this, will not return in a hurry, as they don't even care, as told the waiter when he arrived with my plate and when he took it away, also told... More

A friend and I had a midweek lunch here. The sun was out so we sat outside, the grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of space for children to play (away from the eating areas but still in sight). The staff we all very cheerful and attentive and always in hand. The food and drinks were lovely, our food... More

We stayed here for one night and felt very relaxed after our stay. The staff are helpful and friendly. The service was excellent and food very tasty. We upgraded our room which was a good size and very comfortable, it had a lovely view over the front lawn. I do wonder at the height of season if it would be... More

Having missed lunch on Friday and feeling hungry at 4pm we headed off to Milsoms. Plenty of people having afternoon tea in the lounge but the restaurant was fairly quiet which did mean it lacked a bit of atmosphere, but is was a Friday afternoon. As usual the staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was excellent. We... More
