Fantástic experience

Had a really poor experience here, which is such a bummer as it's #1 on here. My husband and I came here for dinner after reading all the reviews. We asked for her recommendation for a bottle of dry, white wine and the waitress brought us a dessert wine (sickly sweet). We brought it to her attention and she offered... More

Food was well prepared and presented. A big emphasis on large portions of meat and less concentration on vegetable accompaniment. Service good with great views across the valley to the mountains. The restaurant is located outside the city walls of LaGuardia.

We went there for the view, and admittedly it was great. Likewise, the service was excellent. Unfortunately, though, the food was just average. All in all, a mediocre meal in a really nice location.

We've eaten well on this 5 day visit, but lunch today at Amelibia was exceptional. Everyone else in the restaurant was Spanish - locals and people on vacation, so certainly not the tourist trap one reviewer has described! The ambience was perfect - everything very nicely done, but unfussy and with real warmth. The food was excellent and very decent... More

Very nice and efficient service. However, too expensive for what we got. Food was underwhelming, sometimes unseasoned / not well cooked. Not recommended / would not repeat the experience

The good - croquettes The average - the service The very average - the food. If you'd happy to sit with a restaurant full of Americans and eat very average food, go here. Otherwise I';d avoid!!

Amelibia is a winner of Spain’s local equivalent of a Michelin star and deserves it. Though a tasting menu wasn’t officially available, they made one on the spot for me upon request. It consisted of: the most amazing strawberry-mango-sweet tomato gazpacho with some fish in it (sounds odd in writing, but amazing), a very good crab and goat cheese salad,... More

We came to Laguardia at the suggestion of the owner of our hotel in San Ascension and we were strongly advised by her to eat at Amelebia. So naturally we took her advice. Laguardia is an interesting town with lots to see and do and Amelibia was a great restaurant with very competent staff and wonderful food. Isobel's starter of... More

Between Biarritz; Espellete, San Sebastián, and Rioja, by far the best meal we've had so far. We went to a 2 Michelin star last night and Amelibia is incomparably better. We realized after a bit, that this is a family run operation and they have a real passion for what they're doing. They take the best of the local ingredients... More
