It’s where the locals go for lunch, amazing food

Amelibia is a winner of Spain’s local equivalent of a Michelin star and deserves it. Though a tasting menu wasn’t officially available, they made one on the spot for me upon request. The good - croquettes The average - the service The very average - the food. If you'd happy to sit with a restaurant full of Americans and eat very average food, go here. Otherwise I';d avoid!!

We came to Laguardia at the suggestion of the owner of our hotel in San Ascension and we were strongly advised by her to eat at Amelebia. So naturally we took her advice. Laguardia is an interesting town with lots to see and do and Amelibia was a great restaurant with very competent staff and wonderful food. Isobel's starter of... More

Between Biarritz; Espellete, San Sebastián, and Rioja, by far the best meal we've had so far. We went to a 2 Michelin star last night and Amelibia is incomparably better. We realized after a bit, that this is a family run operation and they have a real passion for what they're doing. They take the best of the local ingredients... More

Very attentive service. Overall quality of food was good, not great and somewhat uneven. Some dishes were very good, others were less so. We (a party of four) were there for dinner and it was by no means cheap. A couple of items mentioned on the menu were not available. Also, the bread served was average and plain, nothing like... We had a lovely evening meal here. Food was excellent as were views and service. No sign of a special menu of the day when we were there though - so was more expensive than we standardly paid during our trip. Food was however very tasty and wine was very reasonable as well. An enjoyable dining experience that really felt... More
