This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Hadrian's Wall and as I had not been there for 20 years I called in today. What a disappointment. The lunch menu was very limited. I chose a burger and chips in desperation as I was too hungry to move on. I have never seen such awful chips. I... More

I'm kind of surprised by all the dodgy reviews, as we had an excellent meal at Twice Brewed! We came here while doing the Hadrian's Wall Walk and it was a great place to recharge after a long day's walking. The place was extremely busy but despite that the service was very fast and efficient and the staff seemed very... More

We just had an evening meal. It was very busy, but then there is not a lot of choice in the immediate area, which is also a key stopping off point on Hadrian’s Wall walk. The meal was OK, but a bit expensive for what it was. Steak pie with veg was nice, but chips with it rather tired looking.... More

Very nice place looks lovely and the selection of beer is good. Dropped in for a pint in the day, very pleasant. Decided to come back early evening for some bar food. This was very basic and on the expensive side, service very slow, one young lad seemed to be doing everything whilst two girls stood around.. Don't know whether... More

Tasty meal, the steak pie was yummy. However, we had to wait a long time for the meal to arrive. The waiter/waitresses were friendly and efficient. All the toilets were clean and the bar had a happy atmosphere.

Apparently the pub quiz was voted the worst in Britain on Radio 5 Live. Don't believe it, it's just idiosyncratic. the pub has good basic hearty pub food and a good selection of beers and wines.

I really can't find one positive thing to say about the lunch that was served to us. At £9.50 I was expecting it to be decent but it was far from it. We had the chicken and were presented with a whole, tiny, greasy and poor quality bird on our plates. It hardly had any meat on it's poor bones.... More

we stopped there for lunch and will never go back again. The service is really poor and the staff didn't pay much attention to us at all. The sunday roast tasted like microwaved food and very bad value. Roast chicken was just a chicken wing and roast beef tasted like plastic. go somewhere else and don't wast your money.

An oasis in the middle of nowhere and a great place for lunch, either before or after trekking "the wall". The service was not good and the food very average but the local ale was great. Told there was no ice but the girl was too lazy to go get it, as it appeared some five minutes later. The Inn... More

I found the Hadrian Hotel a bit of a mixed bag. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed a pint of the real ale. The building also retains a lot of its charm with original features. The views from my bedroom were also excellent. The significant downside is the clear need for some investment. The decor is tired and... More
