Wonderfully welcoming pub.

Fantastic atmosphere - steak sandwich and chips to die for. This is a perfect example of a traditional pub, offering wonderful food and awesome beer.

Food was well priced but nothing special. The pub has a good selection of beers and was a welcome sight after a long, cold walk.

Twice Brewed was recommended to us by a local. It was friendly, warm, and the food was wonderful. Guinness and a nice meal, what better than to do it with family?

Great pub, fantastic cosy atmosphere with great food and beer as well as a roaring open fire, perfect after a long walk around the Hadrian's Wall area. The staff are also really welcoming and helpful. We have also used this pub for our family Christmas meal, we were a group of 22 and they cater really well for large groups.... More

Delish chic pea and squash stew! Hearty, warming, sat by a fire on a cold day. Nice kids menu and loved that the sign said kids welcome so we knew it was a good place to stop. Friendly atmosphere, lovely homemade tasting chips- potato with skin still on! We would go back.

This was a welcomed rest stop after a long day walking Hadrian's Wall. The staff were very helpful, assisting us to arrange accommodation for the night.

This pub used to suit all but recent years it has tried to serve fancy foods at high prices which would be ok if the food was better and the place wasnt full of backpackers. Only ok food, good selection of drink.

This pub is on the military road very close to the best sections of Hadrians Wall in my opinion . It has a lovely laid back friendly feel to it and always has a good range of guest real ales on tap along with other world beers. I have been many times over the years and can’t fault the place.... The local pub and just a minutes walk away from the YHA Hostel I was staying at.The food is really great, though some dishes can be a bit pricey, but considering it's the only place to drink/eat for miles I'm not complaining! Our whole party enjoyed the food, well cooked and well presented, and the staff are very friendly. Has... More
