Nice pub, handy after walking the wall

We had been to Housesteads and then walked the wall from Steelriggs and needed food and liquid refreshment in unpretensious dog friendly surrounds, which is precisely what we got here. Nice big car park, staff were friendly, food was very nice what we had, 2 x Broccoli and Stliton soups and 1 eggs... read more

Unplanned visit to the pub and the food was excellent. The presentation was good and the food itself was impressive. I would definitely go back again and recommend others to eat there. I had a lovely crab and lobster ravioli and for dessert was a sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and ice-cream.

I've called in here many times over the years, and several times in the last one during my most recent wanderings along Hadrian's Wall and around the wonderful Northumberland countryside. It's one of the few places to stop on the Military Road, and well worth a diversion off the A69; but it's as good a pub as you'll find anywhere,... More

Been here several times, does a decent roast and has decent ales. Good walkers pub. Been her many times over a number of years after taking friends and family for a walk along Hadrian's wall. The place has not changed, and that's not a bad thing.

The Twice Brewed Inn, is a little further along from Housesteads Roman Fort, and offers visitors an unassuming small town pub experience - with decent ales, beer and food in a friendly rustic environment. Definitely a popular inn for travelers (see the world map and the sheer amount of pins!) and also offers decent (but not overly special) food which... More

A friendly pub ideally placed to cater for walkers and daytrippers to nearby Hadrian's Wall. The food is good for such a remote location and you will not go hungry. There was a very friendly and helpful barman when we visited.

Very nice space, with pleasant garden area, but service was slow & the roast dinners were not exciting.

The food here is great! It was clean and staff were very friendly. I defiantly recommend this! The beer garden is nice to sit and have laugh. And its very children friendly. Dogs are aloud but they have to stay on lead which is good because my children dont really warm to big dogs. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Lovely pub with good bottled and cask beer but food is expensive for the amount you get. Nevertheless, food is good quality and very tasty.

Tonight's meal at The Twice Brewed was one for the record books. I've eaten here many times both as a hiker and as a local guest--the new chef and owners are really doing things right!
