Visited here specifically to go to the restaurant. Parking tbh is a nightmare & an issue if you aren't confident in narrow streets!! Found the restaurant without too much trouble, it was recommended by a friend who runs a restaurant in Porto Perro. As it says it is in a Celler which definitely adds to the overall experience. The food... More

Feels like an authentic restaurant although most of the costumes were tourists. We had the baby goat with mushrooms and the suckling pig, both were great. Had a bottle of Blanc de Blanc to accompany them (I know, white wine with red meat! it was a warm evening). Portions are big and food is delicious. Worth visiting.

We found this beautiful celler restaurant after leaving Sineu and me reading the trip advisor reviews in the car. Es Celler is such a good find, if you want typical mallorquin food the place is for you. We had a mixed salad to start and Frit de mantansa for starters and then I had the lamb and my husband ordered... More

I was looking for a good restaurant with local food and read about this restaurant on Tripadvisor. It was perfect because my wife and I were driving from Sa Coma along the east coast of Mallorca up to Lluc and the little village of Petra was on the way. So we stopped by for lunch. As you enter from the... More

This was our second visit to Es Celler, in the city of Petra (Mallorca) where fray Junipero Serra, the founder of many missions in California was born in 1713. This restaurant offers the most typical Mallorcan dishes, well cooked, and in a traditional and beautyful "celler" setting (celler is cellar in Mallorquín). As in the first time we enjoyed all... We eat here recently and went in on a recommendation from a hotel, the food was overall nice and cooked freshly on the grill. The waitresses however are less interested in their customers, they kept walking past as we were asking things- But exceptional value

Once you have found this restaurant (and it is slightly off the beaten track) you won't be disappointed, good value , even better food , the Lamb Chops were the the best, it slightly beats the Cellar Sa Premsa in Palma and that is saying something. Go there!

The restaurant is in, unsurprisingly, a cellar but a large and rather beauiful one with impressive stone arches in the centre of Petra. Service is quick and the food is genuine Mallorcan concentrating on meat dishes rather than fish. They can do suckling pig but you need to order it 48 hours in advance. Unfortunately the bread they serve is... More
