Halfway between Beziers and Carcassonne, Homps is a small village along the road Minervoise. You must enter the village you find along the Canal du Midi and see the port and seaside atmosphere you will be immediately attracted to our terrace at the water's edge and little blue chairs that invite you to relax. Feel free to come: after crossing the room, you will find at the back, the charm of the shady garden, sheltered from all winds where you can sample our cuisine and our wood-fired pizzas. The friendly atmosphere you will enjoy a warm and relaxed.

Good food, right on the canal

All six of us had a fine lunch. Well prepared and presented. If the weather allows, eat on the patio.

Visited this place twice-first time I would rate as average to fair-second time terrible to poor. My sons girlfriends pasta dish arrived with a wasp wriggling around in the sauce- and deep enough down that it hadn't happened between kitchen and table. When we alerted staff they took the dish back and brought out (?) a replacement but there was... More

Very close to Le Boat--across the bridge. Was surprised by the lovely outdoor dining area. OK food. Stop by and make a reservation earlier during the day.

WE were holidaying for a week in October and we were amazed on a Monday night everywhere was shut. In Homps, in Olonzac. La Foudre was open...we walked in at 8.20pm to be told no more service, we are closing..at 8.20!!! We found this place open. Thank god! Great pizzas and a chocolate mousse to die for, with toffee ice... More

Nice place, a bit chaotic possibly. It has an informal atmosphere, but good food. Possibly avoid to seat near the stair, otherwise you will eat at the level where everybody else is walking. Not pleasant.

Horrible. If you like magret de canard (duck) which looks like a lovely cow dung dropping this is your place. My duck was rubbery, cold latex-on-a-plate, and obviously badly warmed up in a microwave with now browning or sauce. I could not eat it. The others in our group also felt their food was bland microwave shovel stuff. One in... More

This was our second meal here, and unfortunately it was not up to the first time experience so on balance I have rated it very good but on this visit alone it would have rated average. The ambiance is cute and very french with a beautiful courtyard under huge trees. Service was efficient but rushed so that you felt like... More

4 of us stopped here from our boat rental on the Canal du Midi. Excellent salads and fabulous desserts. One had pork cheeks (the best choice), one had lamb (second best choice) and two had chicken which was just ok. All the vegetables were absolutely delicious. Nice garden setting. English spoken for us non French speakers. Lovely menu with Los... More

Anne and Alain make the perfect hosts, very welcoming and has an attention to detail, we eat there twice and both times had amazing meals. And to have the entertainment of Alain mixing Beef Tartar table side was truly wonderful

Eat well here, and we're pleased with the selection and the advice given on drinking the local wine. Prices reasonable and the service efficient
