More than just amazing sushi...great friends!

Agree with all the positive reviews. The chef and his wife are wonderful fun people and we had a great time and alot of Saki and Sapporo with the owners joining in and even breaking out their own huge bottle.

We can confirm all the nice reviews written here. The sushi was one of, or even the best we ever had, the owners are such a nice, warm and friendly people. The customers are a mix of locals and foreigners. Pricewise it was worth every cent, fresh top grade products and real craftmanship.

TO be honest, we accidentally went into this place towards the beginning of our Japan trip. Our criteria was to go to place that was popular with the locals. And there was no disappointment!! This place is quite lively and there is both set menu as well as a-la-carte. Being first timers in a japanese sushi restaurant, we were a... More

Our son-in-law made the reservation through his hotel, and the four of us (my wife, daughter and son-in-law) arrived at 7 pm. We were warmly welcomed, started off with excellent toro and the meal just got better. We had a couple bottles of beer, four bottles of sake of varying size, and soon were engaging Inose-san, Sachiko-san (the couple that... More

I found this tiny (10 seat) sushi restaurant thanks to Tripadvisor. It's located in a quiet neighborhood away from Shinagawa station noise. At first, I wasn't sure if we would be welcome as foreigners. After being warned that the restaurant was cash only, we went in anyway and had an amazing meal and experience. The "mom and pop" of the... More

This is different... You are almost in a small kitchen... Sitting at bar looking on whilst the delightful chef performs his amazing skills...his wife looks after drinks etc with great concern that you are happy... the fish as other reviewers have said is utterly superb... We are not sushi officinados but found ourselves being guided by the chef and fellow... More

We had read about this small sushi house on TA and asked our hotel concierge to call and make a booking for us. Our taxi dropped us outside but the train station is only about a 10 minute walk if you want that option. The restaurant has a sushi bar at the front and a private room at the back... More

Things to do Nearby

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
