Food always superb, lots of choice and always tasty and well cooked. Best to book a table, as the place is always busy. Great to go for just a drink too.

Half past six on a Saturday evening is not the best time for an ad hoc visit to one of the town's best restaurants, especially as the main restaurant area is closed for renovation but we were told to choose our own table. Looking at the menu, there was plenty of choice, especially for my wife who is a vegetarian.... More

We booked late but remarkably fitting in 8 was no problem. Actually it was surprisingly quiet although it was 30th Dec. I had lamb stew with dumplings and a slice of granary bread, it was lovely. Others had fish and chips, lasagne, game pie and all equally as good. I would definitely recommend as v g value for money too.... More

Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere, very close to beach for a walk. Food okay although pretty average, reasonable menu choice. Not great to stay, bedrooms rather tired, have stayed a couple of times but expensive for quality of rooms.

The Pub on the Pier serves great classic food with a modern twist. Friendly atmosphere and good profesional friendly staff. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. From a personal view the white needes to be colder, order in bar and ask for it to be in ice bucket otherwise enjoy !

I've been to a wake here, a surprise birthday, had a meal out here and come for a drink with my friends before a night out. The food is delicious, drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is lovely .

A nice atmosphere in the bar area where we ate (there is also a restaurant). Some of the best battered fish I've eaten in a long time, and the fish pie was also excellent. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff and a good range of drinks

Have eaten here a few times. The food is nice especially the burgers. The drinks are a touch pricey, but I guess its because if the area. The views of the beach and sea front on a sunny day is really lovely. They refurbished a while ago, but have to say I really liked the older version. But worth a... More
